i think you are very spread out in the first list. you have alot of cool ideas, but i think to many options on some of the units. i think maybe a streamlined list with a more defined role for each unit would help you out early on. im thinking of something like this:
Demon Prince, MoT, Wings, Warptime
Chaos Sorceror, Melta Bombs, MoT, Warp Time, WoC
9 thousand sons, asp sorc w/ WoC, rhino
9 thousand sons, asp sorc w/ WoC, rhino
10 CSM, 2 melta guns, champ w/ fist, rhino
10 CSM, 2 melta guns, champ w/ fist, rhino
10 CSM, Lascannon, Plasma gun, Champ w/ fist

this list should be very close to 2000 points. with this list you have definite anti tank via the 3 CSM squads, the oblits and the DP if need be. warptime on the DP is the best all around option. i rather just charge in instead of using WoC and maybe killing a few guys on a 4+. i prefer doombolt on the thousand son sorcerors, but the WoC can be useful if you pop the top on the rhinos and use that as your shooting attack.
i usually walk my oblits on. you have the 2 thousand son squads that should be aggressively going for MEQ equivielents. i find that the most common weapons my oblits form are lascannons at range, plasma cannons for packed troops and plasma guns up close in the rapid range. but dont forget your multi melta if you find yourself in the sweet spot for it.
the sorceror lord should join a unit. if he is flying around by himself he is asking to be pinged off, and a 4+ inv is only going to take your so far.
