where ever the army sends me

First of all I just read "Thousand Sons" and well screw the emperor. I will never again play imperium, My IG just became traitor guard. Anyways on to the lists the first is a real list that i need competitive C&C while the second is mostly for fun. Tell me what you think.

Sorceror w/MoT, Daemonic steed, WoC, warptime, meltabombs
8 Raptors w/2 meltaguns

3x Aspiring Sorceror w/WoC and 8 Rubric Marines in Rhinos

2 obliterators

2x Vindicator w/ Daemonic Possesion

Daemonprince w/MoT, GoC, WoC, Wings

2 of the rubric marine squads also have meltabombs.

Both lists have three scoring units. The first list(the serious one) one of my points of conternation is whether to give the squads meltabombs incase the get into it with a walker(they are slow and Purposeful) or whether to give their rhinos twinlinked bolters in order to suck up a Weapon destroyed result before becoming immobolized and making my rubric marines hump it. Also I know that Gift of Chaos is a little whimsical but I have had exceedingly good luck with it(turned a tervigon and a trygon into spawn in the same game) and find it very fluffy for the cursed marines.all units are running in the sacred number and in fact am using exactly 9 Force allocation Slots as well.

i think you are very spread out in the first list. you have alot of cool ideas, but i think to many options on some of the units. i think maybe a streamlined list with a more defined role for each unit would help you out early on. im thinking of something like this:

Demon Prince, MoT, Wings, Warptime
Chaos Sorceror, Melta Bombs, MoT, Warp Time, WoC

9 thousand sons, asp sorc w/ WoC, rhino
9 thousand sons, asp sorc w/ WoC, rhino

10 CSM, 2 melta guns, champ w/ fist, rhino
10 CSM, 2 melta guns, champ w/ fist, rhino
10 CSM, Lascannon, Plasma gun, Champ w/ fist

2 Oblits

this list should be very close to 2000 points. with this list you have definite anti tank via the 3 CSM squads, the oblits and the DP if need be. warptime on the DP is the best all around option. i rather just charge in instead of using WoC and maybe killing a few guys on a 4+. i prefer doombolt on the thousand son sorcerors, but the WoC can be useful if you pop the top on the rhinos and use that as your shooting attack.

i usually walk my oblits on. you have the 2 thousand son squads that should be aggressively going for MEQ equivielents. i find that the most common weapons my oblits form are lascannons at range, plasma cannons for packed troops and plasma guns up close in the rapid range. but dont forget your multi melta if you find yourself in the sweet spot for it.

the sorceror lord should join a unit. if he is flying around by himself he is asking to be pinged off, and a 4+ inv is only going to take your so far.

There ain't nearly enough Salvage in this thread!

I really hate taking non tzeentch models an I won't take normal marines I really appreiciate the advice but won't sacrafice fluff for strength. I even hate taking the oblits and not having the mark on the raptors but points hurt me and nothing else would fill the role of the oblits. Maybe I should trust in that win or Lose it all plays into the lord of changes grand scheming
