Naruke II, a large Hive City orbited by a small Adeptus Mechanicus port. It is very close to the Ork Octavius Empire, thus it is in possession of a relatively effective military fighting force, including several Imperial guard regiments, a company of the Red Scorpions Space Marines Chapter, as well as many PDF regiments. The capital, Navar, was privy to a genestealer infestation several decades ago, but fortunately they have all been wiped out. However, there have been no threats for quite a while, the Scorpions simply making sure that the infestation has been cleared out, but little do they know that this tranquility will soon change into something far, far, worse…
There are 5 main sections of Naruke II, Naruke North, Naruke East, Naruke West, Naruke South, and Naruke Capital. Here's an image of Naruke Capital:

For now, just loiter around, and chat. First portion of the adventure coming as soon as I finish this Doctor Who episode.

"Sir, its time" Bantine said after knocking on the door to the small building that the team was resting in. "Thank you Sergeant." Nikev replied as he rose from the bed "So how is the team?" "The team is fine commissar, we are awaiting your word to move out. I will now join them in the other building while we await your word." After dressing Nikev opened the door to his room letting the blinding sunlight shine into his room. Shielding his eyes for a moment while they adjusted. Looking out across the landscape he remembered the times he's seen worlds destroyed all too quickly by the archenemy, and dreaded having the memory of seeing this happen one to many times. Putting aside these emotions he set out to his team's building to round them up and continue to the rendezvous point.

"scout brother vera" he keeps repeating to himself, wondering what dead end job he will get stuck with, probably just the usual, keep the city safe, mantain some outposts, nothing big, never anything big.
his barely furnished quarters, nothing but a cot and a small chest to keep his few belongings, his weapons kept close at hand, he never goes anywhere without them, his combat sword, the blade chipped so much it looks as if it has a serated edge, his 'custom' lascannon, which can be fired with only one hand, his whole armour used at the power source, this is what gave him the shining red aura during battle. the aura that the archenemy dreaded so much, his trademark, his war cry, as he charges into battle, its the war cry they fear the most.
a voice appears on the intercom, echoing throughout the room. "brother vera, get ready, the commissar wants you"
he shrugs his shoulders, wondering what that man wants this time, they wern't exactly on speaking terms, but an order is an order. he gets up, grabbing his weapons, checking his armour, then walking out of his room, his head held high, his mind filled with all sorts of thoughts, but not the same as his brothers,no where near the same.

Zindler stomped out of his small abode, within the cities cathedral, in full battle gear. His hulking figure made the small cramped conditions especially difficult to traverse, and his huge frame meant that monks would have to press themselves against the walls as he passed. All this he cared not about, as it was his turn to patrol the city. He sighed heavily. This is not work befitting of him and his team. The most action he had seen for four years had been a brief fire fight with a gang of boiler suited scum. He turned a corner, and entered into the makeshift armoury. He picked up his heavy bolter, and with the help of an awaiting gaggle of servitors, fed his ammo feed into it. He then strode out into the burning sunlight to his awaiting team. They saluted him before turning, and marching down the steps of the cathedral, and into a bustling marketplace. He smiled to himself, and followed.

OOC: I guess I might as well spawn my character then: Jansen drained the last dregs from his tankard as he paid the barman for his drink. “At least they make good drinks here” He thought, “whatever that stuff was... at least I won’t go completely insane while I’m stuck with these hive city scum. The governments bad enough on this rock anyway...” He rose from his bar-stool and made for the door, avoiding the various low-life’s who were constantly trying to sell him ‘death-sticks’, which were probably some sort of heretical drug anyway. But he didn’t have time to deal with them now, he needed to find out why the freighter he was travelling on was taking so damn long to re-stock. It had been at least a week now and he hadn’t heard a single word from the mechanium moon, where the freighter was being held. Jansen reached the door of the cantina and stepped outside into the musty half darkness of the underhive. What little light the hab-lights gave out was stifled by the slight smog that was escaping from the small vents in the side of the walls, and the taste of chemicals permeated the air. His footfalls rang out on the steel surface of the floor as he made his way towards the upper levels of the Hive, although the constant noise from the depths of the Underhive drowned out most of the sound. As he got higher and higher up the Hive city, the air got cleaner, and the mechanical racket that was emanating from the depths of the City got quieter, although a low rumble could still be heard. As he approached the Mechanium outpost at the base of the Higher Levels of the city he was stopped by two colossal servitors, who were guarding the entrance. “By order of the High Tech Priest of the Mechanium of Naruke II, no-one is to enter this compound, on pain of death, or worse” intoned both servitors. Jansen sighed, and reached into his long overcoat to retrieve the symbol given to him by Orianus Augustus, the symbol that struck fear into a million souls, the symbol of the Emperors Inquisition, a single red I, embellished onto a skull. Jansen knew from experience travelling with Inquisitor Orianus that it would get him anything, anyone or anywhere, without question. He showed it to the guards. The Servitors remained impassive: “Symbol not recognised, Access Denied” Whatever was going on here was big, very big indeed... OOC: Once everyone has made their introductory posts, I would advise to wait until Klawz has made the first story post. I admit my intro might have set the scene a bit too much, but I got carried away . Until Klawz has posted we don't actually know what we're dealing with, so any proper action might ruin anything Klawz has planned.

Zindler's squad moved through the swarm of citizens, without event. The rich upper hivers, paid little attention to the space marines nowadays, having gotten used to the protection they gave. Occasionally, if one would find himself directly in the path of one of his squad, they would incline their head, and utter "emperor protects" before sliding out of the way. Through this all, His squad did not falter a step.
++ Squad, form assault pattern gamma, I smell heretic++
Zindler was right. Nearby, a particularly obese man, with a purple face, and rolls of fat thicker than a mans arm, was leaning nonchalantly against a wall, smoking a death stick. He wore the finery of an official of the Hive, but it made no difference to Zindler. The arbites might be corrupt, and have selective sight, but the space marines did not.
The man spotted the hulking forms too late. It still marvelled him, how ones so huge, so tall, could sneak up on him. Cursing under his breath, he discarded his death stick and tramped it into the dirt with his fine leather boots. "How may I help you sergeant?" he then said, smiling a broad smile, and inclining his head.
Zindler stopped before then man, and his team spread out behind him.
++ You know smoking a...death stick... is against the laws of the imperium, due to halogen 64.2 and nycosputen 44A present within them. Both of which are class alpha drugs, which were banned under the harmful chemicals act of- ++
"Yes yes, I do understand, but, why are you telling me this? I have smoked nothing of the sort."
++ Only the guilty deny a crime they apparently haven’t committed++
The fat man began to sweat, little rivulets slipping down his greasy, pock marked face.
"I-Im sure we can come to some arrange-"
++ attempting to bribe an upholder of the law is a high criminal offence, punishable by death. Im surprised you were stupid enough to even consider trying it with a marine. Take him away brother Ventrius++
Zindler's second in command stepped forward, and clasped the mans shoulder with a gauntleted hand. He then turned, and frog marched the man through the market place. The fat official made no attempts to worm his way out. He knew he had made a foolish decision. Zindler sighed. The official wouldn’t be executed. People in power rarely get their comeuppance. He most likely will get a permanent black mark on his record. Maybe dismissed from the government. Corruption.
Zindler turned, and led his squad down a bustling street, continuing his sweep.
OOC: couldn’t resist ^^

Just north of the Naruke west city Nikev with his team road in a civilian truck on the long road at a set pace. Determined not to be late for the meeting that was planned for them.
As they road the came across a town not much larger than the one they had found although there was something different about this one.
The people who should have inhabited the town were no where to be found, animals that should have been there were no where in sight.
Nikev thought to himself that this shouldn't be and set out to search the town for anything that may give them a clue as to what happened to everyone.
As the teams were searching Nikev, Salmoq, and Urtow were approaching a home when they heard a sudden crash from inside the small building. Rushing to the side of the door for a standard breaching pattern the team rushed into the room with perfectly practice precision. As the scanned the room they could find nothing but a shelf that for some reason had fallen.
"Hey Get back hear" they heard from outside of the building and Nikev realized it was the voice of one of his heavy weapon specialists Pyrne. Running out of the room they saw him chasing a small boy who had stolen a sack of food from their transportation vehicle.
Pryne dropping his weapon had no trouble at all catching the small scrawny boy. Just as Pyrne caught the boy Nikev's Adjutant Bolted from the Transport vehicle wide eyed like he'd just seen a bloodthirster up close and personal.
"Sir!" he panted as he ran up to Nikev,"we have a problem"

Jansen skirted round the side of the Mechanium outpost, looking for a suitable entry point. After about 10 minutes of searching he saw a small window in the side of the building, about 20ft up. He removed his grapple gun from one of his pockets and attached it to his wrist. After making sure his longsword was secure on his back and both las-pistols were in their holsters he shot the grapple towards the nearest ledge and began to scale the wall.
When he reached the ledge he hung suspended underneath it for a few seconds, listening to the movement inside the window. All he could hear was the occasional grinding of machinery and an urgent beeping from a computer. He pulled himself over the ledge, and entered the room.
The beeping noise was emanating from a computer panel in the far wall, which was glowing red. What looked like a map of the planet was displayed upon it. Jansen crossed to the panel and studied it for a few seconds. Several tendrils of red had appeared where Naruke east used to be, as well as a few spots of red scattered elsewhere on the map. The orbiting mechanium station was completely obscured under a mass of red. The scrolling bar at the bottom of the screen declared the moon to be under complete tyranid control.
"Gak!" thought Jansen, as he realised what was going on, and why the mechanium were being so secretive. "How am I going to get off this planet now?" He turned away from the computer screen...
...and straight into a techpriest who had silently moved up behind him while he was studying the screen.

Afi lit a lho-stick from the Leman Russ's open top hatch, waiting for the next orders from command on the training of the new recruits. His Leman Russ tank was sat on the plains just north of Naruke south, on the training area for the new crews.
Afi was a veteran of a few wars, Anthand against the Orks, Pandora defending against Chaos forces. His tank had scored a total of 16 enemy tank kills from those two wars. And now hIs beloved Leman Russ and himself was staitioned on Naruke.
He sighed, no matter how hard he tryed, the new recruits in his tank wouldn't get the hang of it before they would sent into a combat zone. His old crew had deid near the end of the Pandora campign, from a meltagun gun blast penertrating the tanks armoured hide. So now he had to train these farmboys how to shot.
He flicked lho-stick away, and pulled the hatch closed, and sat waiting still for the next orders. His crew waited paintently in silence also.
The vox flickered into life, relaying thier new orders.
"This might be interesting" Afi thought to himself

Tyranids. The devourer of worlds was on Naruke. Afi smiled to himself. Another enemy to fight he thought.
He grimaced as he remembered that his crew were still untested in the fires of battle. That'll soon be corrected.
Afi opened the top hatch and breathed the open air. He looked dead ahead and saw the nearing capital. As a vetern tank commander Afi had been sent from the reserves of Naruke south to join the regiments gearing up to fight the enroaching aliens.
He lit another lho-stick, adjusted his peaked cap and settled in, waiting till he arrived at the capital.
He sighed when he remembered about the comissar, he hoped this one wasn't a "I'll shoot you if you look at me funny type," like the ones back on Anthad.

Zindler rammed another belt of ammo into his heavy bolter, before he squeezed on another salvo of rounds. His men were enacting a desperate rearguard action, trying to buy a town’s populace more time. The tyranids had hit hard and fast by a swarm of gaunts. Though little more than a nuisance on their own, Zindler knew they were just here for him and his team to expend their ammunition upon, before the real threats appear. He had already spotted a menacing shaped thing in the distance, but he had been unable to make it out, even with his helmets filtering systems. There was just too much smoke.
++ Squad, fall back to the town square. We hold that position for 5 minutes, then we find our own way out of this cesspool ++
As one, his team turned, and sprinted hard and fast down the street. Zindler looked left and right, scanning the nearby houses for any signs of life. He was a space marine, and he wasn’t going to leave anyone behind.
They reached the town square just as a brood of spinegaunts poured out into the open space from a side alley. Behind the red scorpions, Zindler could make out the cacophony of the approaching tide. If they were not careful, they would be surrounded.
++ Ventrius, Scipio, spinegaunts up ahead. Clear them out! ++
The two marines nodded in acknowledgment and trained their guns on the approaching tendril. Zindler, Augustus, and Bartholomew turned their attentions back to their pursuers. Their heavy bolters coughed fragmented death, and soon a bank of corpses started to form, ensuring that in order for the gaunts to attack them, they would have to climb their way up the side of their smouldering dead.
++ Sergeant! We’ve got incoming, and I don’t think our heavy bolters are going to be much use here! ++ yelled Scipio.
Turning Zindler spied the problem. A tyrranofex. Its massive body was hanging metres from the ground by four massive bladed feet, each one the size of a space marine. Its huge frame held a gigantic fleshy tube, with disgusting ooze dribbling from its orifice. It roared, and then spasmed. The entirety of the massive creatures frame convulsed, and it released a high pitch whine. Its cannon sprayed a gout of bio acid mucus into Scipio and Ventrius, throwing his men to the ground. The stuff stuck to their armour and began to dissolve it away, Scipios incoherent screams began, as his neuro inhibiters couldn’t combat the pain. Ventrius, who had only partially been hit, struggled to his feet, only to watch an arm and both his legs sizzle, and slough off. He toppled to the ground. The tyranid beast roared.
++ Augustus, keep the swarm at bay! Bartholomew with me! ++
Zindler and Bartholomew charged forwards, firing as they ran. The bullets bounced harmlessly of the Tyrannofex, and it scuttled forwards. It lashed out with a massive scythe. Rewarding itself by punching Bartholomew in twain. A spray of gore splattered onto the space marine sergeant who carried on running. Bartholomew’s midsection crashed into the town squares fountain, and the waters their began to turn red. His other half landed amongst the swarm of gaunts.
++ Sergeant! I can’t hold off the swarm much longer! ++
Zindler dodged another talon strike, and skidded to a halt next to the still conscious Ventrius. Grabbing his fallen brother, he began to drag him away from the massive monstrosity. Ventrius was blasting away at the beast with a bolt pistol defiantly. Suddenly he heard, over the roar of the 'fex, over the screams of the tyranids, over the bark of Augustus' heavy bolter. He heard the engines of a thunderbolt. It screamed past over head, discharging a payload of bombs as it went. Zindler only had time to bodily throw brother Ventrius out of the way of an incoming bomb before he was engulfed in flames...

The Tech-priest led Jansen along the corridors of the outpost, towards what he presumed was the central hub. There was a constant clanking noise which grew ever louder as he was led along the corridors, and the air smelt of oil. They reached a large doorway at the end of a long corridor, and the techpriest began to intone a series of noughts and ones into a small microphone which was placed beside it. Two Secutors who were guarding the doorway came and stood either side of Jansen, blocking off his escape. The doors opened to reveal a large hall, around the edges of which lay hundreds of computer banks, each with a tech priest plugged into the sockets. The roof of the hall was held up by 10 pillars, which flanked a long walkway down the middle of the hall. The entire area was bathed in a dim, red light, and hazy with fumes and smoke. The Techpriest escorted Jansen down the middle of the hall, until they came to a plinth in the middle, which was shaped in likeness of the symbol of the mechanium. A large figure rolled out of the gloom and down the ramp leading up to plinth. It was what was left of a human torso, supported by two caterpillar tracks where its legs had been, and it was covered in bionic implants and whirring instruments. It was barely recognisable as human. “Greetings, Intruder” It intoned in a low, mechanical voice, “I am techno magus 01110110 01100101 01111000 01110101 01110011, of the Mechanium, why were you present in the compound?” “Jansen Ragnar, representing Inquisitor Orianus Augustus” said Jansen, revealing his Inquisitorial emblem “My business is my own. I was en route to Prantoc Ultra when the freighter I was travelling on stopped for supplies here, and the planet was invaded by Tyranids.” “So you know about our little... problem then?” “Indeed, although It may turn out to be slightly more than a problem, if your information is correct...” said Jansen, with a small grin. “Your humour is unnecessary, meatbag, but your cooperation will be mandatory” “My cooperation?” asked Jansen “what’s in it for me?” “merely your life, but do not worry, you will not be missed.” said the Magus, “Now the planet is under attack, every man who can hold a gun will be shipped off to the front lines. The marines of the Red Scorpions chapter are spread thin as it is, and the pathetic cannon fodder you call ‘guardsmen’ will be annihilated before long, so unless you want to be shipped out to the front with them, I suggest you listen to my reasonable offer.” “What is this ‘offer’” sighed Jansen. “In the middle of Naruke West lies an ancient artefact, one which is very important to the mechanium, and which must not fall under Tyranid control, under any circumstances. As you know, Naruke west is relatively free of Tyranid presence, but that will most likely be remedied soon. Your mission will be simple, retrieve the artefact. If you do this, we will give you a ship and let you leave." “Why can’t you send one of your own men, or one of the people from the city?” “Most of the Techpriests were on the moon when the invasion began, and this particular artefact is quite... delicate, so would be unsuitable for any commoner. You are expendable, and have something to gain, so we will send you. Your transport awaits outside...

"Emperor Deliver us from this hell" Nikev replied as Bantine informed him of the Tyranid invasion. "Have you contacted the Guard stationed here? Do they need assistance?" "But Sir?" objected Salmoq protested,"What about our meeting?" " I believe a Tyranid invasion is a bigger issue than some information from a contact who has probably fled planet don't you think? Bantine?" Nikev turned to face his adjutant who was on the vox with the Guard. "Sir, they say all help is appreciated and that they have uncovered a small tyranid force which has broken from the main group and has gathered in an area to the north east of our position." Nikev looked around the room at his men and their weary face. Chaos, Orks, Tau, they've all face these enemies and been able to best them, but the tyranids they have never battled.
The stories alone about the tyranids that circulated in the guard could chill a man to his very core and Nikev knew his men would not be happy with his decision. "Inform them we will move in to intercept with the fury of the Immortal Emperor himself." Nikev as he said this glanced around and was surprised to see that not many faces showed as much disgust as he thought. "Sir, they are sending coordinates now, and they remind us that the Emperor Protects." "The Emperor Protects." replied everyone that was within earshot.
After informing the Guardsmen of the task set ahead they stripped down their civilian transport so it was closer to a opened backed half-track for the visibilty they would need for the foe they would need to see long before it was close.
"Sir!" Pyrne called out before they were set to head out. "What about the boy we found?" Glancing sidelong at the boy noticing he looked to be in his young adult years told Pyrne "if we have an extra las-pistol give it to him, He knows the land better than us. Just point him in the right direction. He'll be better off going in the opposite direction of us considering we are going into hell.
At the wheel Urtok turned to his commissar and asked "where are we going sir? you gave me coordinates but where is it?" "I'm not sure Urtok, all I know is near some very old ruins out in the middle of nowhere."

Gavis looked over the wall of the small outpost, the sky began to fill with Tyranid spores. Already, the towns people began fleeing into thier small homes. The short wave vox in the outpost crackled with, hurridly blurted out orders from the PDF command. Above a single large spore filled the sky, it fell hurridly to the ground, impacting. From within something stired, a large Warrior Tyranid, rose from the crater made by the spore, it roared to the sky. Gavis leapt over the wall, landing on the hard earth road below, he un-shetathed his force sword, and charged.
The Warrior turned towards the Space Marine, lashing out with its sythe like arms, Gavis ducked under the blow, he lashed out with his force sword, cutting off one of the Warrior's limbs, the Tyranid slashed out with its other arm, the sythe gouged the Space Marine's power armor leaving a shallow scar, Gavis steadyed himself and channeled the power of the Smite, lightning danced along his force weapon, and his fingertips, thrust his sword out at the Warrior, the psychic lightning shot out, striking the Tyranid Warrior, the smell of ozone filled the air, as the Tyranid burned from the power of the Smite, its burnt corpse fell to the ground. Gavis looked to the sky, more spores where aprroching.

Zindler opened his eyes with a groan. He slowly dragged himself to his feet, and surveyed the town square. The whole place was burning, and piles of tyranid corpses littered the ground. So, Zindler thought, at least the tendril here has been stopped. Limping through the bomb shelled clearing; he spotted, amongst the flames, an occasional gaunt, ablaze with fire, screeching in pain. He ignored them. As he got to the fountain in the centre, he found who he was looking for. Ventrius was still alive despite it all. He looked up at his commander with his one good eye, and spoke through his Vox
++ *shhhhhhhtkkkk* sargea*kkkkkkkkkk* ++
The mutilated marine seemed to stop for a second, before he removed his damaged helmet.
"Sergeant, Augustus told me to tell you that he's gone to secure the perimeter. He was unharmed by the bombs. I think he’s gone for solitude, in truth. Bartholomew was his best friend, after all."
Zindler nodded, and opened his vox channel.
++ Augustus, come back to the town square, is we're going to get a pick up for Ventrius, I’ll need your help ++
++ Message received, coming back now ++
Zindler sighed, and sat next to his comrade. He removed his blackened helmet, and held it in his hands, staring at it, as if it could give him answers.
"Zindler, i know the loss of Bartholomew and Scipio is hard. We were together since the first days of training. Do you seek Condolences? They were brave, and followed your orders without question."
"Yes brother, they were. But I believe I’ll need to talk to a chaplain about this. The sense of loss may affect my judgement."
Augustus arrived on the scene a moment later, carrying his heavy bolter, and training it left and right, as if it were sniffing for prey. As he got to them, he nodded in acknowledgment to his brothers.
++ have you sent a medevac signal? ++
"Yes Augustus, and I am sorry for your loss. Let me help you look for Bartholomew’s remains."
SO they left Ventrius to rest, propped against the fountain, as they searched for the cleaved corpse of their fallen brother. Afterwards, they gathered up the small pieces of Scipio's armour that were still intact, and placed them in a bag.
As they returned, a Valkyrie descended slowly on the scene, and a group of medics, jumped out and raced over to the marines. At first, Zindler was wary of the guardsmen, how could they understand the anatomy of a marine? But they seemed competent, and stemmed the bleeding from Ventrius, and removed the shrapnel embedded in Zindler’s neck. They then carried them onto the valk, and took them back towards the guards Head quarters in the sector.

Llyons: More spores crash into the ground, opening not to Carnifexes or some other beast, but to long, snake-like trygons. They burrowed deep beneath the ground before anyone landed a shot on them. Others opened to a brood of gants, firing fleshy maggots that vainly attempted to burrow beneath your armor.
Ghosty: The valk shakes, and its guns go to the difficult work of ripping apart the hundreds of gargoyles that have surrounded the area. Shrikes can be seen, firing deathspitters at the Valkyrie.
Dave: A servitor can be seen in the background, fixing one terminal crackling with sparks. As you are talking to the Magos, and you say the word "tyranid", the servitor begins to move. Its repair arms are revealed to be machine guns, and he has a second pair of arms sprouting underneath the first, bearing wicked sharp talons. It begins to lumber towards you, trying to yell.

vera slowly studies the horizon, cursing under his breath, looking through the scope of his custom lascannon, he see's some tyranid hormagaunts moving forward with unbelieveable speed, but to no avail.
"stupid creatures, they dont know who they are facing"
he raises his lascannon, his armour glowing with a blinding red light, he fires unleashing the energy at them, his shot manages to take them apart one at a time, leaving only burned remains, he reloads, whispering his own little prayer, thanking the gods he believes in.
"oh prometeus, father of fire, creator of man, guide my hand in destruction"

Jansen heard a low snarl behind him and turned to face it. One of the techpriests he had passed earlier was bounding towards him, the wheels it was attached to earlier discarded to the side. Clawed arms dripping with venom were begining to protrude from under its sackcloth robes, and the servo arms were snapping menacingly, while plates of machinery fell off its body to reveal glistening purple flesh. Jansen grabbed at his pistols and drew them, while the creature let out an earsplitting scream and leapt towards them. Jansen crouched under its leap and turned, firing blindly at the creature as it passed overhead. The shots hit the creature in the back and the smell of burning flesh filled the room. "It would seem you've been Infiltrated by Genestealers, Magos..." said Jansen, "I had better leave now, where there is one there are bound to be more." "Yes, yes, of course" replied the Magos, seemingly flustered "your transport awaits outside" He activated a switch on the side of his transport and spoke into a protruding microphone: "all techpriests present in this mechanium outpost meet in sector 010001011, genestealer prescence confirmed, any Mechanium units found to be missing subject to immediate termination." (OOC: if anyone from Thor's Genestealer game wants to use this as a setting for a genestealer game, go ahead, I think it'd be perfect) Jansen hurried out of the room, replacing his Las-pistols in their holsters, and ran downstairs, out of the outpost, to where a truck was waiting. He got in, noting the heavy stubber fixed to the back, and the large amounts of ammunition besides two shotguns. He ignited the Ignition and set off, following the directions displayed on a small screen to the left of the wheel. There was something odd about all this...

Afi finished his lastest Lho-stick and waited while his Leman Russ resuplied at the capital.
Due to losses he was now the most senior tank commander on the planet he didnt relish this thought that just meant more deaths of those under his command.
After resupling he was being sent out to the nearest defence line to the tyranid threat.
He had never faught tyranids and was nervous, if the stories were true they were all doomed.
He dropped his Lho-stick, crushed it under his boot and hopped on to the tank and down the hatch.
Time to get to the front.

OOC: Ok, Status Update for EF (from what I can make out) VikingScott (Afi) is currently just north of Naruke South, and heading for the front line at Naruke East (I think). Dastardly Dave (Jansen Ragnar) Is currently on his way to Naruke west, in search of a mysterious mechanium artifact so he can get off the planet. Shas'O Vera (Vera) is shooting Tyranids in (i think) the forests by naruke capital (its in his sign up post) in the name of Prometheus (I think your heresy stamp might be in order). Ghosty (Zindler) is currently watching a Valkerie get attacked by 'nids while he is recovering from a heavy tyranid assualt. (not sure where though, I presume Naruke East) Master Lyons (Gavis) has just witnessed a few trygons burrow underground (again, no definate location, probably Naruke East due to amount of 'nids) Commissar NIkev (Nikev) is heading towards a bunch of ruins near Naruke West, which presumably is under attack. I think thats everyone, if i've got anything wrong just say.

"FETH those bastards and send them to HELL!" Nikev screamed alongside with the roar from his Bolt Pistol.
Taking cover behind the old ruined remains of what must have been some sort of massive important structure the Nucian guard was having to fight Gaunts armed with Fleshborer cannons.
The Truck the Nucian guard had previously used laid in ruins nearby being ambushed from the ruins though they were not fully unprepared the Nucian Guard launch a quick defensive maneuver which causes a stale mate between the Guard and the Tyranids stationed there.
"Fething things are everywhere sir!" shouted Pyrne over the roar from his Heavy Bolter that he and his feeder Arnel had set up with quick pace.
"Then Kill'em ALL!" Shouted Bantine who was working furiously to give cover to the vox man Zyen from the Xenos that were sent to break the formation and doom the guardsmen.
Shredding a trio of guants who had rushed from cover to get closer to the Nucians. Pyrne shouted back, obviously irritated by the enemy "I'm working on it damnit!"
Forming a line with a slight curve at the edges the Nucians were being slowly beginning to gain ground. Luckily enough for the Nucians none of them had to go hand to hand with the Xenos due to the guants weaker Armour than their larger more devastating counterparts.
Blasting a Guant Nikev turned to his adjutant who gave him quite the confused look whilst taking cover. "Sir, I don't understand. From what I've read Tyranids are lead by a bigger bei-" before Bantine could finish his sentence, a most horrendous screech filled the air.
"Happy now DAMNIT!"Nikev yelled at his adjutant "you've just fething Jinxed us!"

So, I was in this place people call the mall a while back. And I had the urge to expel some bad spirits. As I went into the bathroom, I chose the urinal closes to the corner so I could have some privacy. So I whip out Lord Pevincy and let him loose the bad spirits. Well, I was looking at the wall as the Lord was expelling the spirits and I seemed to have gotten distracted. Turns out, I missed a little.
SO I'm sitting at my computer right, and I have a Coke, Bottled mind you. But it got warm, so I got a Coffie cup and I filled it with the coke and some Ice and I sipped as I did my internet stuff. So like and hour passed and I hadn't sipped any of it. and when I go to sip it, I notice that something solid is in it. So I'm like, "No, why would there be something solid in my coke?" SO I pull these solid THINGS off my tongue and guess what they are? F ING ANTS! I was like WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And so I ran into the Kitchen coughing and what not and I threw those little bastards down the drain with a flood of hate and cold water.......those bastards are lucky I don't have my Nucians yet!!! |

vera yawns, his kill count reaching 50 gaunts, 20 warriors and 2 carnifex. in the back of his personal rhino, his trusty driver jeeves, the walls covered with war trophies and honour marks, nothing imperium apart from the rhino itself and his weapons technology, the hum of the engine was going to put him to sleep at this rate, but no matter, he needs to fight, to shed blood in the names of the gods of old.
"jeeves, how far untill the front?" he says while yawning once more.
"not long no sir, recon says about 30 minutes untill we reach the west, feel free to take a quick nap if needs be"
vera yawns once more, then rests his head on the cold wall of the rhino, slowly falling to sleep listening to the hum of the engine, the sound of the tracks moving along the ground.

No, I meant, are in charge of a tank or something? Or are you just a lone guard squad making these kills?

The tank ground to a halt, Afi jumped out the hatch and walked over to the nearest defence implacement. "Whos in charge here?" he asked his vioce raised slightly so they all heard.
One man detached himself from a cluster against the opposite wall. "I am, and you are?"
"I am Afi Drazznik, veteran tank commander stationed in a leman russ sir!" Afi replied snapping to attention with the mention of the word sir. The aged general sighed
"Very well trooper i was expecting a squad but you will just have to do, we've marked out a place on the defence line for your tank, we think to use it as a gun platform to take out the bigger beasties. But obviously target prioity is at your discretion,"
Sir yes sir, we'll move the tank now" he walked out the bunker leaned against the wall and pulled out a carton of lho-sticks, looked up at the sky. "Feth, the winged ones are here already!"
A valkarie was just before them, huge scars down its armoured shell.
Afi ran for his tank and dived down the hatch. A few shouted orders and the defence line errupted in firepower at the enroaching gargoyles waves.
(OOC: I was north of the capital at my last post headed for the next defence line about to become under attack.)
(And Emperors Fathful I am in charge of a tank)
