Well there are different kits and they generally take different amount of time.
But how long does it take for you to assemble ( assuming its your first time working with that kit )
and take in account trimming the mold lines?

Small Sized = Sentinel / Walker / Calvary / Transports / Bikes /
Medium Sized = Squad / Land Raider / Battle Wagon / Valkyrie / Trygon
Larger Sized = The super heavies

I just want to know if im really slow at this... because thinking back its ridiculously slow of me.
for example Storm Lord i spent 10 hours , Stompa i spent 12+ hours.
Im not sure how that is possible , maybe my brain died from the plastic cement -_-

1 hour for small kits. It took me 3 hours for the land raider. It took me 16 hours to open, assemble and paint a basic ultramarine landraider only taking breaks to eat.

That's not a terribly long amount of time Luna, my Shadowsword probably took me a little over 6.5 hours of working on it exclusively to put together.

Simple/repetitive stuff (obviously) takes me a much shorter amount of time. I can slap together a tac squad in almost no time!

It usually takes me no time flat to put together just about anything. However, when I built my 10 man veteran squad and command squad it took me a good 5 hours. Most of that was me deliberating whether or not these 10 guys should be a veteran squad or a troops squad, and how I was going to distribute the cool command squad bits.

I assembled a Baneblade in around 3 hours.
Land Raiders take around 90-120 minutes or so.

Smaller kits take less time. Rhinos take around 30 minutes.

Umm... a little broad, don't'cha think Luna?

I mean, prep and build a Marine? Not a long time. Prep and build a Russ? 'Bout 8 nano-seconds, with my eyes closed, and using only my feet. Prep and build a CoD building? Considerably longer!

I've got one for the old crusader (which is a basic land raider with metal bits) - will that do?

I'd say I spend:

30 minutes to an hour soaking them in detergent

about an hour to 2 hours, depending snipping from the sprue and filing down lines, and filling gaps

a few minutes priming, and at least 24 hours of drying time

probably 10 to 15 hours painting, washing and highlighting

5 minutes of dullcote, 24 hours of drying

and, interspersed amongst the previous steps, anywhere from a few weeks to a few months of vacillation and neglect

Automatically Appended Next Post:
and, I can scan the instructions for my land raiders when I get home, if someone has not beaten me to it. I'm at work for the next 9 hours.

It depends with me, if it's metal 12 odd hours to dry, but some things I did pretty quickly, took me 1 1/2 hours to put together a Monolith.
