Only 2 scoring units in a 2k army seems light, objectives could be tough, especially if you're sending one of those scoring units up the table in the LRC. What do you plan to do with the Sword Brethren?

You have a squad of troops with bolters, to hold a home objective or advance slowly up the table in reserve. You have your LRC with squad and the 2 units of jump infantry, chaplain attached to both I assume backed up by the landspeeders.

Just not sure where the sword brethren come into this. Are you planning to Deep Strike them?

I like the list, but I think a Rhino or two would round it out nicely if you could find the points somewhere.

SB are a jack of all trades, with Tank Hunter, I can use them for Anti-Armor, and AC's are always good at Anti Infantry.

They are good for shutting down lanes destroying any enemy fast units that want to flank, IE jetbikes/Speeders

and you are correct, Chaplains are attached to Assault Squads (This gives most of my assault re-rolls, avoiding the need for AACWTH for 50 points), EC is in the LRC with the Crusader Squad


The other option is to get rid of the SB for another 2 squads of Initiates, Gives more scoring, but lowers the Anti-Veh of the army

I can see it being a winning tactic against certain forces, but not one that can be used many times before they learn how to take down most of those Assault squads. Of course if the LRC can keep pace with them then you've got less worries, As enemy fire will be split, Especially with 3 Multi-melta LSs.

Thinking more about this, I like the army, if you can make it to the enemy in Turn 2 then you can make a real mess of most things. Risky, all or nothing and you have to make sure everything sweeps in around about the same time, but could make for some real tense games.

I love playing this way.
The vow I have enables me to move at the beginning of the game (if they have a psyker), so I am that much closer already.


I honestly, play this army very fluff like, and I really play every game like it is annihilation (I don't play in tournys, for the most part, cause I don't enjoy the "rules lawyer" type of player/game.
