Me and some friends have been arguing about the best video game theme music of all time. I thought I'd come to Dakka for a definitive answer
Currently tied between these two :
I know game music has moved on one heck of a lot since i started playing games, but these old 16-bit tunes bring back so many happy memories

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.
Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines. Loved that game.
All the soundtrack for this is great, Chinatown stands out as a real favourite, I used to go back to that zone to have the music playing whilst reading or cooking.
edit - oh and nice MGS, its annoyingly one of those games I could never get to work properly on my previous PC when I owned it, but I really like those bits of music you've put up there.
Tbh Its making me think about giving the game one more go as I heard some fans made a patch to fix a lot of the issues.

"That's not an Ork, its a girl.." - Last words of High General Daran Ul'tharem, battle of Ursha VII.

Good call on the V:TM soundtrack! If that game had had enough time to get finished (Think it was Troika's last game) it would have been one of the greatest games ever. Despite the clunky combat and awful loading times, i don't think i have ever been so immersed in a game. Voice acting was superb throughout and that level in the haunted house was a masterpiece of game design

"What do you do for recreation?"
"Oh, the usual. I bowl. Drive around. The occasional acid flashback."
Lorgar war ein noch größerer Narr als Horus. Er war zu feige, um das Tor zur Hölle zu öffnen. Das Tor, dass den Sieg der Chaosgötter bedeutet hätte.
