Played my first game of it last night at the local club. I had 10 chosen Chaos Marines (1 with heavy bolter), my opponent used the Space Marine codex and could only get roughly the same, 9 marines with sergant, heavy bolter, plasma gun and plasma pistol for sarge...

His problem was his leadership as I targeted the sarge to lower it to 8 where mine stayed a constant 10. The game was quick and kinda fun but as TSKNF doesn't work in Kill Team I don't think standard Marines are worth the points (I also had a Space Wolf force ready, 3 Wolfguard terminators with stormbolter and wolf claw and 5 Grey Hunters (1 with meltagun) which seem a lot more cost effective...).

Are there any other forces out there that don't seem to be worth the points for this scenario, conversally are there any out there that are a lot better and finally worth having?

So you are comparing a choice between an Elite and a Troop unit and one doesn't measure up...?

10 Chosen is more expensive than the Tacticals for that infiltrated, which means you have less special weapons.
The Tacticals can get the same heavy weapon and the vet and the flamer in a cheaper package and have points left over for some other gear.

So you focused down the Sarg, that's a good choice on your part and a bad choice for the opponent to allow the Sarg to be that exposed.

As for cost effective... I'd hazard a: of course it is, it is a newer codex.

As for worthiness...IMO many 'fun' units just got alot more interesting and more worth a try.
For me, Tau are getting a leg up.
IG is 'approachable' for me. I'm looking forward to running Penal Legionaires and Rough riders.
SM: I'd prob. go with Sternguard as they seem to fit the bill fluffily.

ATSKNF works fine, it's just only really triggered if you have multiple guys in an assault and lose. Not every fight has to be 1:1.

Well, it's entirely avoidable...and most likely from competitive players at this 200 point level

I think there were some new rules for it in Battle Missions.

Least points effective?

Grey Knight Brother Captain Terminator with targeter, and 3 Grey Knight Terminators.

200 points, 4 models, and a single 1 point piece of wargear.

I have had fun with Kill Team so far. It plays faster than 40K (obviously) and the rules work much better with small, individual forces than they do with larger squads.

I'd love to play this list with the 50 gretchin and 5 runtherd list. Just about the biggest difference possible. Not to mention having to roll 215 dice for the ork shooting phase when everything is alive thanks to the grey knights' aegis/shrouding thingy. There goes the idea of playing faster

Mattlov- isn't the Grey Knight captain a HQ choice?

I plan to try out loads of different line ups from different codex's for this scenario as its quick, easy and fun...

The brother captain exists as a HQ choice or as the normal squad leader of the Elites GKT.
The only difference is being able to purchase new weapons on the HQ varient.
