Only if said brew has been made from fresh tea leaves, if circumstances have forced one to resort to a teabag then it's viewed as acceptable, perhaps even preferable.

The Great Tea Brewer!

The combination of The Great Tea Brewer, proper tea, a large jar, and approximately 3 metric tons of sugar adding during the brewing process create the awesomeness that is Southern Sweet Tea. beware though, as it must be immediately be followed by an insulin shot and a nap. You will also have the strange desire to sit on a porch and say things like "well I declaaahhhh." Occasionally you might invade a few Northern states, but thats only if you've had tea after crackling grits.

The spoon will continue slowly spinning in well-brewed sweet tea as it sinks to the bottom over the course of 5 minutes. Imagine molasses with caffeine. Truly, it is ambrosia.

My grandma on my mom's side always has three big jars labeled "sun tea" at every get together

I can remember seeing hot tea for the first time and being incredibly confused.
