Um Tau fire warriors are poor In hand to hand combat and if your army does it job right you should never meet in hand to hand I would suggest honestly dropping the photon grenades and honestly maybe the stealth suits and take kroot , there good in combat they can outflank and if you really need them to they can shoot so that would be my suggestion let me know how it works out! well yes I suppose the longer they last the better sometimes your opponent will want to stay locked with you so that he can avoid getting shot at so your kinda helping him with what he wants but if you hold and counter charge with a cc unit you have a chance to win and actually save the fire warriors and another unit of fireknife crisis suits would also not be bad , feel no pain becasue with your 6 inch move and 6 inch bounce and play it safe you should NEVER fall in to close combat

aww 20 or so hitting something in the flank thats alot of attacks lol but yeah they work best as a speed bump
