Hey guys, I'm having such a hard time deciding which army I would like to play. its between OK's and WoC

I already have a dwarf army but I need something that will be able to compete with my friend who is starting dark elves. I was thinking of a 2nd army that would be able to "stand up" against his army, and I just love the idea of both warriors of chaos and ogre kingdoms.

I have both codexes but Im having such a tough time. please help me out guys.

Probably WoC if you want to kill his Dark Elves. I think they are supposed to have the roughest time vs high AS armies (like WoC). And OK I have heard are harder to play with an win vs pretty much anything.

the question in my opinion is not whith what army can you beat him. the question is what army do you like best. once you do that all else follows. you make the winning army. so go with your tastes.
now if you cant decide between them, i would recommend warriors of chaos.

I would echo that you should make whatever army you want to, as you're the one who has to buy, build, paint and play with the models ... But on the flip side, if you know you're up against your buddy's DE over and over, it'll be more interesting for both of you if you go with WoC. Ogres really can't bring much that DE care about, and they really can't handle some of the more powerhouse DE units. For example, I have never killed a hydra with my ogre army, and I have been completely obliterated by a single ASF manbane assassin at least once. You'll both enjoy your games much more if you go WoC

Another vote for WoC here I'm being tempted by them myself... they just seem to have so many more options, and like the other said, will give you a better chance against DE imho.

So I decided to go WOC HECK YES!!!! from my local game store I asked them to order me a WOC battalion. and as an addition to that I already have 5 chaos knights *unpainted* and also 12 chaos warriors which are unpainted as well.

so by next week I will have

24 chaos warriors
10 chaos knights
20 chaos marauders
10 chaos warhounds

I figured this would be a good start to a WOC army. Im thinking Marauder horsemen would be a good addition as well.
but ofcourse I do not know how to continue this army as well as most of you guys might so a little help would be appreciated.

also another question I have is should I just turn this into a blog tracking my progress in making my WOC army?

and the final question is, how should I go about getting heroes? I know for sure I want a nurgle sorcerer which I can happily get since my buds are real easygoing when it comes to WYSIWYG so I can pretty much use it as a normal or any other sorcerer if I please.

but I dont know what else to get in regards to heroes......or anything else that would be good

well the best thing you can do is to buy the WOC army book (if you dont have it already). inside you can find all
the information you need about your army.
i would suggest a sorcerer and a champion of chaos for your heroes.

He does have the book, it's in the first post

A blog is a great idea! It would be cool to see pics of the models as you assemble them, if you have a camera

If you're looking for advice about unit choices, I'd make up an armylist and post it over in that section. There's a lot of WoC advice flying about at the moment over there
