Seems like you'd ruin a mechanized army... badly.

But against a horde like orks you'd have your mobility severely limited by a smart player just filling up the board.

Maybe some more heavy flamers on the Speeders just to open things up early on.

Of course if he spreads out a horde you can just deny a flank and bike assault one side of it...with most of your army.

Sorry I don't have more info. The DA dex is mostly a mystery to me.

I actually have quite a bit anti infranty... 6 assault cannons, 4 heavy bolters. Then all those twin-linked bolters on the bikes. Plus im fast enough to stay clear of any charges for the majority of the game. allowing me to wido them down

I like the look of this list.
Three full RW Assault squadrons are really nice to play.
I'd consider more heavy flamers in the RW Support squadrons.

I would find pts for a PF instead of the PW.

Most of the time i combat squad everything. So a powerfist would be pretty worthless seeing that a squad of 3 will probably die its first round in combat.

I really don't think that ravenwing belong in hth, I wouldn't even bother buying them power weapons for the most part.

Also if you are going to sit back, then that means you can't use melta guns because of range, I would switch the majority of your squads to plasma instead of melta.

The only thing that should go into hth is a 6 man squad upgraded with the apothecary and the standard. Attatch a chaplain to them and they can go after other unit's in hth just not anything exceptionally beefy like thunder hammer terminators, etc. Also the a. cannon, heavy bolter on a speeder just doesnt' feel like it's worth 100 pts.

I would reduce your squads down to 3 man's to maximize the availability of the attack bikes with multi-meltas and then take single speeders in your fast attack slots. Something like the following, points are probably a little off.

HQ
1 Sammael on speeder
1 Chaplain on bike

Troops
1 Ravenwing assault squad
2 plasma gun
1 attack bike w/ multi-melta

1 Ravenwing assault squad

What your missing out on and the strength of all those speeders. I've play tested the list multiple times and this is the way this list is played. Get 2nd turn and put EVERYTHING in reserves, all bikes outflank, land speeders come out of the board edge via reserve rules. my army comes out little by little. And last turn i just run up on all the objectives and get either a tie or win. Only way this army works, and quite frankly it does work haha. superboosting landspeeders on objectives are quite hard to kill.

The problem with your list is,

1. Landspeeders taken with the ravenwing bikers are SCORING, and troops. So they can hold objectives. ( Does not enclude my fast attack ones)

2. Taking all those 3 man squads would in the end screw me on a kill points game

3. i dont have that many attack bikes

All those scoring units is scary. The way i play the is I use the squads without special weapons to block of charging lanes to my other units so they get charged first. In theory the 3 man bikers should die, hen next turn the enemy unit is out of combat and right infront of me so i have a shooting phase at them.

ravenwing landspeeders taken in a ravenwing attack squadron are scoring units as well as troops. So 3 of my speeders could hold objects. All the fast attack ones cant.

^ That is by RAW as the codex trumps the rulebook. And the codex makes it pretty clear that it's scoring.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

What about 1 plasma squad with apothecary for overheats? I've been reading a lot of Ravenwing threads and some people suggest putting the apothecary in a close combat squad, but if I'm reading the rules right he's not going to be able to use his medical stuff in the middle of a fistfight.

"Well, isn't the enemy of your enemy, like, your friend? Or whatever? Can't they team up?"
"Not exactly. In this setting, the enemy of your enemy is still a floating, greasy, armored brain."
"Well, what about his enemy? Maybe you could be friends with him."
"No, because that guy is a mechanical horror in an undying battle shell. He sails from world to world in a flying tomb, serving gods who eat hope."
