What style of basing would look good for Necromunda? My usual grassy fields I use in my armies would probably be a bit innapropriate, so what colour would work well?

Concrete grey? Rusty metal? Hazard warning stripes?

Add on some textures and bits too... grating, wires, pipes etc.

I used sand painted grey to look like gravel or slag. But, if I were basing them again I'd go for plasticard cut into panels like sheet metal, possibly adding a few rivets to them too.

Considering how small the Necromunda model counts are, some tech or gothic style resin bases woud work well. You could base a whole gang for a fairly low cost and add some extra umph to the models.

P.S.: here's a Dakka post on Resin bases that I found really helpful: http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Resin_Bases

What colour would you use? I would eager have a set easy to get hold of colour for consistancy rather than he best complimetary colour; also maybe something I could write names on the base as well?

Why don't you make so it fits your terrain? What are you using, the classic cardboard stuff?

A very simple solution is to use the wire mesh that's ment to fix rust holes in cars with. Here are some simplistic bases I built from such mesh and a bit of sprue.

That looks pretty cool. I might steal that.

That would be flattering. I've found that regular superglue is not that good to make the mesh stick, and to make models stick to the mesh. Either pin/greenstuff models feet to the sprue parts or use a glue that fills out gaps a bit more.

You can give a "texture" directly on the base. Take a sharp Knife and just cut some lines on the base to simulate the squared Urban ground. After that primer and color with greys from the darker to the clearer.

Sorry if my English is wrong

I tend to use grey tones for my urban type basing. I use a putty type substance or powder spackle mix, add black paint and spread it over the bases. Drybrush different greys and maybe a little brown or a brown wash. Here are some examples:
