Hi guys~
just wanted to know if there are any~
im in adelaide and im thinking of starting offer commission works and wondering if there is a market.
I think im fairly good at painting models, although i only started painting 1 year ago.
there are still lots of things i need to learn~
here is the question,
how much do you guys can accept for a commission work?
Im thinking about the same price as the kit: the $55 Space Wolves Pack costs $55 to paint (around 6 on the CMON),
a better quality, (>7 on CMON) double or tripple the price, does it sound fair?
I would appreciate any advices and love to meet some new friends who enjoy painting in adelaide!
here are some of my works, hope you like them~

Wow. That's incredible for only a year. Most commission sites do an hourly rate, or a per mini rate. Your pricing model is unique, I think.

First off, Welcome to Dakka
Secondly, im gob smacked at the level of painting you have!! outstanding!
There is a guy around my area of the woods that charges $3 per 20mm based model, $6 per 40mm based model, $30 per 60mm based model and $30 per tank. The rest he hammers out a deal and offers discounts for bulk, but I have never used him, a few people I know have.

That guy sounds super cheap Squig_herder. Too cheap actually. If you love painting for the sake of painting then fine however if you're going all out doing a super job you need to charge a good amount.
Remember you have to use your own tools. Paints, brushs, mediums etc all cost money.

Check out wargamerau.com
There is a large number of guys who do commission work there and you may be able to work out some pricing points if you talk to them.
Although to advertise/accept commissions on the site you need to be a site sponsor, so you would need to talk to the admins about it.

Im probably going to get in trouble fro posting on such an old thread But I AM DESPERATE!!!!
I noticed this thread in a google search. I need to find an Australian painter for my space wolves army. I do not have the skill required to do justice to my beloved wolves.
Now i know there is a thread with painting commisons on it and I have tried both the Aussie guys but they do not seem interested.
When I noticed a few people talking about Aussie painters I thought they could help me get in contact with them.
Many thanks,
Blocka
