They're 28mm apparently, so they should be about the same size.

28mm. IG are "Heroic" 28mm. the IG are a little more robust, but not enought that you won't notice unles you get right down and look right at them looking for the flaws.

They are going to need some serious conversion work for that, though.

The biggest issue I can see from these guys is that of the weapons.the SOTR guys hands are about half the size of the GW's IG, and the positioning of the hands on weapons. The guys heads are good, but if you put an IG head on thr SOTR guy. its really going to look out of balence.

Let me play with the camera a little more and show you a picture, and hopefully it will explain it.

My pictures are coming up garbage, but I took a measurement with a SOTR guy and a GW IG Cadian, it came up that the SOTR guy is a few MM's shorter then the IG guy is. basicly he stands at around 32-33mm crouched, and the GW guy is at 35mm.

The guy stands at around the same size as the FW resin guys do, and if you stack him up against other figures from other ranges, as in my case.

He will work for what you want to do, but he is at true 28mm, whereas the IG is at that Heroic scale. The little rifles that they have will need some greenstuff work. ALOT of work.

here are the pictures. they are crap, but I hope you can see what I was speaking about.

They are a bit smaller. If you base heights on a SM they are true scale.

I have used some Zombie Germans as the basis for bodies on the battlefield and one German Officer as the basis for a Sgt Bastonne - Long Jacket, Cap - and gace him a Forgeworld Sword from the Cadian Upgrade kit.

As said they are a little smaller and heads, hands noticeably so - but some will work OK.

Have you seen the Darkson Designs stuff? http://darksondesigns.com/

They have a better scale to the figures then the SOTR guys are. AND.... They are moduler with several different options that would work on par with your GW guys.

Mine came with a 60MM base, same as the picture.

The mini, minus base is 40mm's tall. Add a couple of MM's for the base and it's around 43-45mm's.

Its a good little mini for a battle suit and I have one with my infantry platoon.
