Same ole thing, rail on dems, get profitable raido show write a book talking about how the USA may be doomed if Obama, Ried and Pelosi aren't stopped. Watch the money come pouring in. It doesn't matter if your facts are wrong or you are making things up, or even adding things to the Bible. Facts don't matter when you are blinded by anger. Obama has made a lot of radio jocks and book monkies very rich.

I wouldn't say Levin is the same ol thing. He doesn't make things up any more than what you might read on Kos. He is just as partisan as the hard left. I agree with isthatmycow, fanatical Limbaugh fits the description best.

Yeah, but he's an absolutist. it's like3 you disagree with him on one thing, he calls you a Marxist, socialist, a lot like Joseph McCarthy. You remember what he said to that one woman a long time ago "i don't know why your husband doesn't put a gun to his head."

It's for money, the people that listen to him demand he takes the hard line stance. Just look at republicans who have agreed with the Democrats on even one issue. I truly belive that they couldn't vote for something the other side put up even if they wanted. What a monster they have created.

For what it's worth, I agree with Sexiest Hero, and I would go even farther and include the "radical" left commentators in the, spout rhetoric, create a website, write a book, get a radio show or TV show, and rake in the dough from ideological purants and backers.

Look at Huffinton. She used to be as rampant right as Hannity and or Limbaugh. Now she's left because there were allready enough right wing pundits she couldnt compete with them in that market.

Do you think Ariana Huffington is as influential in left wing politics as Limbaugh and the like are in right wing politics?

As has been pointed out, the left tried their own noise machine radio station and it failed utterly, while there's dozens of wildly successful right wing radio stations - I think it's fair to say that loudmouth pundits are a bigger part of the rightwing than the left.

Oh yes, I love the Limbaugh show as he appears to be the most "balanced" of all those right wing Conservative nutballz.

@generalgrog, there is a difference, IMHO. THe people on the left just don't care as and are pretty scattered. Rush can move mountains with his words. Us on the left can't compare to that.

The thing that bothers me is how easy and natual things like sessesion, armed revolt and who is unamerican or not. I listen to right leaning radio alot here in atlanta, and the show started out dissing people from Harvard and ended with women ruining the military. What the hell does that do to help the country.

I find it amusing that discussion about radio talk show hosts even exists. They are what they are... a product catering to an audience.

I'd not take a lot of solace in the fact that Air America failed. It just means that demographic can't support the market. Like any other air media, this is advertiser driven. Your Left wing talk show is driven by dollars just like the Right is... the only difference being starving artists and welfare recipients don't have a lot of money to spend on products.

Does Glenn Beck count? I dunno why, but I watch his show more then I should. I dont exactly see eye to eye, but I just like watching him lol
