Where I'm deployed, they won't ship aerosol cans, so GW's spray Matte Varnsh isn't available to me. In addition, I find the prices for their paints in general pretty outrageous. Is there any recommended source on the internet for a liquid-form Matte Varnish out there that's pretty good, and perhaps other acrylic paints as well?

Tester's do their dullcote in bottle form but the lable on the one's I got say they're carcenegenic (sp?) so I'm not sure it could be shipped to you.
If you do get it be caeful how you apply it as it can dissolve paint if you work it too hard with the brush (unless you happen to have an airbrush at hand).

Where are you based - this will give us a better clue to who we might recommend.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Location says: Iraq. Pretty much everything is carcinogenic these days, I wouldn't worry about the label.

Oops - missed that.
Ok then where are his family based (eg Germany or US) as I believe that they would be entitled to low if not free postage rates to you?
After we find out either the Europe based lot or the US based lot can help!

Sorry I took so long to reply to this one... I got sidetracked. Trying not to be a forum necromancer. Anyhoo...

My family is based in the U.S. They don't get free shipping unless it's flatmail, like a paper correspondence letter 0.3KG or less.

I ended up buying Vallejo paints, and a pretty decent variety to include their Matte and Gloss finishes.
