I'm new to Nids and I was wondering what if any upgrades are worth tossing on my genestealers. scything talons, adrenal glands, toxic sacs?

I find scything Talons still a bit useful, but most of the other upgrades just aren't as handy. There are few things a Genestealer unit WON'T obliterate on a charge, even without the adrenal glands or toxin sacs.

I find scything talons to be handy as a nice upgrade because you will probaly be hitting on 3's, but if you can re-roll a couple of those 1's it can be really handy.

Sything talons are a must, toxin sacs give a 4+ poisoned so add them, also Broodlords are upgrades so add one of them.

Ok so scything talons are going on for sure! and maybe Toxin sacs. The broodlord was a definite.

Toxin Sacs are great! Re-rolling to-wound against MEQs means a higher chance to get rending attacks.

It sure helps against big nasties too. Toxin Sacs have allowed my Genestealers to bring down Wraithlords and even Greater Daemons easily.

Toxin Sacs should be your priority upgrade for Genestealers.

Like Cheese pointed out, reroll to wound, and more chances to rend= more dead enemies.

I've never put Scytals on mine. (Doesn't mean they're not good, I just never have)

Broodlord with Syctals is an awesome upgrade, if you have the spare points. I don't mess with the Acid blood/implant attack personally.

I run mine with toxin sacs, and the broodlord with toxin sacs and scything talons. I can get 5 stealers and a broodlord for 150 points exactly that way, makes it really easy to list build.

Sounds like alot of good advice! I'll prob start a thread to show my progress and stuff but not untill I figure out how to take a decent pic of my stuff for the wips.
