I was thinking of (eventually) starting a tomb kings army, but using Celtic mythology instead of Egyptian.

Obviously use Druids intead of lich-priests.

Rank and file skeletons can be Celtic warriors as zombies...Mix in some skeleton parts.

Use ogres (Firbolgs) painted as being dead for Ushtabi

A big wolf (Barghest) for tomb scorpions

Giant painted as being dead for Bone giant. Posisbly with a goat head if I can find one to be a Formorian.

Orc and Goblin stone thrower (With Celtic crew) for screaming skull catapult

Use a cauldron for the casket of souls if I want one.

Paint up horses as spectral (Add some scorpion green drybrush) for any cav unit.

wow, i think that's a great idea. i can see it in my head now, although it does seem a bit like wood elves mixed with undead.

Downunder

Seems to me its more like a barbarian/wildmen race that isn't chaos.

Also littlenibbler Orks aren't about armour saves.
Orks are about having too many models on the table, and wasting the other guy's time with your movement phase.
Orks are about having the toughest units on the table.
Orks are about not caring about how many bodies are left in a long winding trail until the squad is down to less than a third its starting strength.
Orks are about rolling more dice then you can count without the aid of a calculator or a pen and paper.
Orks are about having totally fething insane characters tearing gak down like Doc Grotsnik, Ghazghkull or Snikrot.
Orks are about being too fething awesome to die...

Druids are linked to life and trees more than to necromancy IMHO.
Other than that it sounds quite doable. Perhaps check the Vampire and Wood Elf army books as well for that idea.

On the perfumed wind

I was thinking something like this myself. A sort of Barrow Kings/druid hybrid. I think it could work, though my main concern is the ability to pull off some of the other 'counts as' models...

“It was in lands of the Chi-An where she finally ran him to ground. There she kissed him deeply as he lay dying, and so stole from him his last, agonized breath.

On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”

I think this is a great idea! I'd love to see some models you'd be thinking to use for this.

Haven't picked out any models yet, and I really need to get all my other armies painted up first...I have too many sitting around just primed or not even assembled yet.

I was just thinking about it last night and working out what types of models to use for what.
