I just thought I would share this with y'all! I just played in a 300,000+ pt game this weekend at my FLGS. It was an invite only Apocalypse game that had some big limitations, not point-wise obviously , and a storyline. All told there were 19 players total, some with as much as 60,000 pts on the table themselves. I managed to throw down a respectable 10,500 pts of Alpha Legion, including Omegon and his Hydra Guard. Here is the blog for one of the guys at the store, it has some pictures of what went down, but there were definitely better pics that he took. I will try to post those as I can. http://theascendedhost.blogspot.com/

How is it they live in such harmony - the billions of stars - when most men can barely go a minute without declaring war in their minds about someone they know.

I played a 300,000 point game once. The best part is that it still only took up one troop choice for my guard army

-Any terrain containing Sly Marbo is dangerous terrain.
-Sly Marbo once played an objective mission just to see what it was like to not meet every victory condition on his own.
-Sly Marbo bought a third edition rulebook just to play meat grinder as the attacker.
-Marbo doesn't need an Eldar farseer as an ally; his enemies are already doomed
-Sly Marbo was originally armed with a power weapon, but he dropped it while assaulting a space marine command squad just so his enemies could feel pain
-Sly Marbo still attacks the front armor value in assault, for pity's sake. |

Man that is EPIC- level EPICNESS!!! If you guys do a second one, it will break into being an EPIC SAGA!!

Also littlenibbler Orks aren't about armour saves.
Orks are about having too many models on the table, and wasting the other guy's time with your movement phase.
Orks are about having the toughest units on the table.
Orks are about not caring about how many bodies are left in a long winding trail until the squad is down to less than a third its starting strength.
Orks are about rolling more dice then you can count without the aid of a calculator or a pen and paper.
Orks are about having totally fething insane characters tearing gak down like Doc Grotsnik, Ghazghkull or Snikrot.
Orks are about being too fething awesome to die...
Lets settle this in the arena http://pantsformer.mybrute.com |

Haha, glad you guys like the stuff so far. I am hoping to get more pics by Friday.
@Eyclonus: We are doing another game like this in June and September. After that we will have an Imperial Civil War game in November and then another Chaos Battle in December.
@Praxiss: Yeah the table was kinda "narrow." It was the standard 4 ft across, it was just packed with models. Until I get a better picture, you guys won't be able to see just how many models were on the table. And to be honest we had maybe 10 titans total and around 25 Baneblades, oh and 1 Thunderhawk. The points were really made with normal models.
