Subject: Models for Jabberslythe & Cygor?

I want to include both of these monsters in my army, but having a hard time finding suitable models to represent them.
For the Cygor, I've had no luck at all, besides a very uncreative idea, which is just using a giant and using GS to make a big eye.
For the Jabberslythe, I found http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat1350000&prodId=prod480006a
and
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat150115a&prodId=prod1090050
I'm slightly leaning towards the second one, for A: Its cheaper, and B: It looks a bit more bug-looking.
Any ideas?

I personally thought the Dragon Ogre Shaggoth would be perfect for the Ghorgon... but you've gone and chosen the other two monsters
For the Jabberslythe, I like the second of those two choics, too! I haven't seen that idea before... very cool!
I was personally thinking the Varghulf would be a good substitute for it, but this is better.
Cygor... I don't know, but I don't want to see any more Giant conversions. There's got to be something better out there! I'll see how strong my searchfu is today and look for something...

Yeah, someone had posted a cyclops model I've seen once, but I never payed attention at that time. Looked pretty boss.

IMO the 'jabberwock' produced by Bloodmoon is a 'jabberslythe', perfect size and looks about as close to Carrol's jabberwocky as you can get. This is increasingly the unofficial official model for the flying, poisoned, insanity-causing Beast's monster I like the idea of the nazgul though, I'd consider that one myself. Nice plastic kit, good to have an excuse to use it. (Though you are right, that's expensive!) On the cygor, you'd think I'd have a better idea by now as he's at the top of my list ... but still no. There are some good action figures out there I was going to check out, either WoW or Spawn toys. - Salvage

I forgot about that second LotR demon. It's pretty cool. Surprised I don't see it around more...
I think there's such awesome potential for conversions on those Beastmen rares. I'm sure at some point, models will arrive, perhaps a combination Cygor/Ghorgon, but man, in the meantime, I'm looking forward to seeing some sweet handywork.

That's the exact model used by a beastman player at our local shop. I saw it get put on the table and knew exactly what it was; what more can you ask for in a mini?

Question: If I have a flying monster, does it NEED to be on a flying stand? As that Jabberwocky wouldn't quite work if so.

No. In fact, the only flying unit whose model that is actually flying that I can think of is the High Elf Dragon and it has a textured ground piece to attach to a chariot base. There are no flight stands in Fantasy, only in 40k.

Oh, alright, only reason I asked was because I was looking at the daily GW post on the site, and some guy had pegasus knights on flying stands. :/

As far as I know, no. Most of the monsters I can think of are all on a regular bases (dragons, manticores, and wyverns). There are some flying calvary or units (pegasus knights, war hawk riders, great eagle, and terradon riders to name a few) that have the flying stands, but not really any monsters.

There's also the OOP GW Jabberwock, which you'd be able to bring to anal tournies that only allow GW/Citadel, if you can find one.

There is an abundance of models for the Jabberslythe, I realize, but I am still at a loss for the Cygor. Countless hours searching for a cyclops model has given me nothing.
I guess a giant + greenstuff is the best way to go about it :/

Even Reaper don't seem to have a Cyclops. Its the first time they've let me down, personally. Stupid GW and their stupid rules without models.
