Hey folks, just wanted to see if Dakka is going to have a large present at Games Day 2010 in Baltimore.

I'll be there

Unfortunately, I only got to meet 2 Dakka members last year- Ulfar, who I had a trade with, and Boss_Salvage, who I only talked to for a minute and who seemed pretty pissed about the fact that they had to supply their own terrain for their game (as was everyone at the event ).

Salvage, we should get in a game of fantasy this year... I talked to you so briefly last year (it must have been 30 seconds) that I don't even know if you'll remember. I hope you make the trip down again this year!

I live two miles away from the Convention Center so I will definitley be there!

I'll be there, and I'm 8 shades of excited about the different contests...

If i get my SM army done I'll probably be there. I think my hobbyshops gaming group might be going too.

I went last year. We had the Minas Tirith/Pelanor Fields display.

Going again this year with something a bit larger, and a lot Greener.

I'm debating going, but leaning more towards going, even if only for a little while. Hell, it's in my backyard, why shouldn't I go?

Planning on going down there with he wife and boy. A random question for your GD vets. My son is 3 and not interested in wargaming beyond trowing dice and occasionally stealing my minis. Will I have to buy him a ticket too? The customer service guy said..."I don't THINK you will..." So, obviously that filled me with confidence. But if I drive down there and can't get in, you may see my famous jump up and down. 2D6 hits to GW! Any input on bringing little ones too small to game would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This, except not really my "backyard" but not that far depending on the traffic.

Strongly considering going as it's not prohibitively far away.

I am really intrigued by the art contest, to be honest.

I might go it all depends on whether I have off from work and if people I know are going. I was disappointed to see that there was no army showcase like last year where your average hobbyist could bring in a display to show off.

Have they confirmed the date yet? I thought it was going to be in august?

I want to go, but it is quite the hike for me, i mean i wouldnt mind a road trip, plus i HAVE to enter golden demon this year.

The more i think about the finances and the fact that i wouldnt have the slightest idea where im going makes it that much more hard to get myself to go.

Im thinking i may though, gamesday is always worth it. It is a blast.

Yours was the gigantic Minas Tirith? And you're bringing something "a bit larger"?

Good to see others coming! Jin, if you come we can makes plans for DD4/6 in person, and I'm guessing if you make it down, Alpharius, you won't need me to pick up that raven guard stuff . It'd be awesome if you made it!

Yep, got to get a bit bigger. Once again, a large city sort of thing will be besieged by a large group of irrate barbarians with huge engines of death, and defended by stalwart heroes ....of some sort.


Someone asked about a ticket for a 3 year old. Don't worry about it, they won't need one.

I sense a great reason to go. Alpharius seems like he'd be a blast to get hammered with.

I'll be down there Friday night with my crew, set up in the afternoon and over drinking at the Warf Rat soon after. Somewhere drinking on Saturaday night afterwards as well. We come down for the whole weekend. Too much to pack down and back for just a day trip. Gives a good excuse to drink.)

I'll be there for the general gamer's atmosphere. I'll probably be chilling with my club, F.A.I.L. Gamers. I might have a good chunk of my Alienids done by the time it comes around so if any of you all see me, feel free to say hi...or run in fear, your choice .

I'll be there too. it'll be my first one and I'm bringing my son and maybe my daughter and hell, may even throw the wife in there for good measure....give her a neck deep waft of gamer odor. I'm sure i'll get brownie points for the that one

Yes, if the photo from Adepticon is to believed, his resemblance to Sean Connery is sadly lacking (sorry Yak). For what it's worth, I don't have the glorious whiskers of my Avatar counterpart. Despite being 33, my efforts at growing facial hair fail miserably.
