Iron Warrior Demon Prince. The mask is from the Defiler it. The "jump pack" is a chopped down valkyrie engine. The drill arm is from the FW assault dread and the claw is from the AOBR Ork warboss.

Initial paint job done.

Next on the list is to paint the horns coming out of his shoulders Bleached Bone. Also need to do some work on the base. Other than that i need to highlight the armour and bring the flesh up to Shadow Gray.

Man, that's cool. VERY Cool. I like the use of Dreadnought and Defiler pieces, too.

Does the jump pack "count as" winged?

Also, can I get a list of bitz? I may need to... borrow... the design for my Iron warriors.

@Crimson. Yes the pack counts as Wings. I give him wings, MoN and Warptime.

@ Gorskar. The basic demon prince model, assault arm from FW, claw from AOBR Ork warboss. The mask is the defile rmask with the horn chopped off. The thick cables are .64 gauge bass guitar string. Oh, and a valkyrie engine chopped down by about 50%.

That's a really cool idea! I'm planning something vaguely similar.

Now that is a Daemon prince, I love the Iron Warriors and there theme and fluff. Once im past the overly newbie stage of painting i definitely want to start an IW army. Thanks for showing us a great looking model and conversion

Interesting conversion, but the jetpackt doesn't work for me. It's a cool idea, but it makes him look smaller, which isn't what I would want from a Demon Prince.

I'm alsno not a big fan of models without hands, but that's just me.

one thing i will say though is that i think th mask looks a bit 'new' compaired to the rest of his armour, maby a bit of green stuff or just a bit of ruffing up would top it off.

Have you considered weathering the hazard stripes? Tinbitz patches, followed by boltgun metal inside the Tinbitz, with a final spot of chainmail could work wonders. Try it along the seams of the stripes for good results.

Also, it may be the pics, but I think either a dark red wash or Citadel Wet effects on the blood would really help bring that element out.

I am plannign on doing some weathering to him. I will try that technique you mentioned. I was going to go with little patches of black with boltgun in, but tin bitz coudl look better, thanks!

the red bits on the claws have come out brighter on the pitcutre. I used a bit of scab red in the recesses with a light brush of red gore. I think the flash has made the whoel model loko alittle brighter than it actually is.


The mask - all i have doneto that is blotgun and a badab black wash. i will probably do a devlan mud wash over and maybe chuck on a couple of battle scars or bullet holes for good measure.
