I would put the berzerkers in the land raider and the csm in the rhino. drop 2 berzerkers from one squad so the lord can ride.

drop the icon of khorne from the chosen and give them their own rhino.

if the lord is riding with the chosen a whiff on his part could end up with him running off the board and that sucks, so sticking him with berzerkers is safer.

extra armour is all you need on the land raiders. usually they will be moving 12" and firing nothing. but when they are shooting you will need them to hit.

play test it and keep track of how many times possession allowed you fire when you wanted to versus how many time the BS 3 made you miss.

i putted ea to raiders and beefed chosen. mark is fluff thing and it will help in assauts

If you have poor luck at dices...you may try possessed(yes, their profile suck, but they have 5+isv/4+with MoT) to absorb his friendly attacks.

so by your logic its better to have half of your army dead than have 1 guy die and then you offer possesded what next army of spawns?
and what will happen when kharn kills his own retinue and then moves to support other combat?

Kharn works very well with a unit of possessed. He will do alot more damage then the lord with bloodfeeder, and the possessed won't die as much to his attacks. It's a pretty effective combo. Even without whatever silly abilities they get, Possessed are still S5, A2 (with built in CCW's!) with a 5+ INV, so are pretty fairly priced.

Uhm...they don't NEED MoT. They have a 5+ Inv built in. If you are rolling enough ones to wipe your squad out consistently, then your problem is maybe the dice and not your army list. Kharn is a beast that alot of enemies will have trouble with, and he hits like an MC in close combat against vehicles. He's a one stop shop, and the Possessed will live alot longer with him then just 'zerkers would, and he won't stand and drool 1/3 of the time due to the Bloodfeeder like your lord would.

I don't get it. Am I the only one that never has a problem with Kharn?! The betrayal only happens on any 1's!

The Chaos Lord cannot have Lightning Claws AND a combi-weapon. To get the Lightning Claws, you need to trade away the TL Bolter required to get the combi-weapon.

no you dont have to replase tl bolter, they replace ccws nothing else

That is a direct quote from the Codex, bottom right of page 92. Without the TL-bolter to trade up, the combi-weapon is unavailable. Besides, how the hell would he shoot the thing with those claws equipped
