After searching these forums and the web in general, I have read varying opinions on this topic.

The Daemons of Chaos army book states that the army is:

Immune to Psychology; Fear

That damned semi-colon is what is throwing me off. Does this mean they are immune to all psychology and cause fear? Or does this mean they are immune to fear, but do not cause it?

I am sorry if the answer to this question is obvious, but I would appreciate your input.

Thank you for your time!

All Daemons of Chaos benefit from the Immune to Psychology; Fear Special Rules as described in the Rulebook. Since there is no Special rule in the Rulebook called Immune to Psychology; Fear, they must mean two seperate Special Rules, namely Immune to Psychology and Fear.

Thank you, Airmaniac. The punctuation is what was confusing me. I would imagine that special rules are typically presented in list order, and not just separated by semi-colons. I only own the DoC army book, so I did not have anything to compare the presentation to.

Thanks for your time!

It is because they are two seperate, self contained phrases, so seperating them with a semi colon is appropriate.

Don't worry, y oure not the first to have this issue!

Yeah, I've heard plenty of people pose that question. Semicolons are, all things considered, periods. So really, it basically says "Immune to Psychology. Fear"...why we have semicolons in the first place is a little iffy.
Oh, and Immune to Psychology would include Fear as it is, so you could assume some stuff...but GW doesn't have editors.

daemons are ITP, and cause fear as per the standard rules. there a few other army books that have questionable misprints, such as WoC knights only costing 40 points/unit...
