I Have Forge world Trygon. Can I use it on tournaments as trygon prime?
He has containment spikes - just because it has more spikes then plastic one.

I would say the FW Trygon IS a Trygon Prime.

I'm always checking such things with tournament authorities but now I'm assembling mine and would like to hear common opinions. It would help greatly

As long as you can easily tell it apart from other Trygons, I don't see why not.

I'm not planning on buying second FW trygon - so it will stand out from my possible other GW trygons.
Also I'm not planning on converting it.
So if my 2nd or 3rd will be GW - I think definition for tyranid player is not problem, as for other players - not once on tournaments people confused GW Tyrant with GW Carnifex. So I think confusing is opponent problem not mine - it's like on real war - ignorance kills

IMO you shouldn't have to worry. You won't have so many Trygons on the field that there is a serious danger of confusion as there would be between several different units of almost identical SMs who are vanguard, sternguard and middle guard with different capabilities..

If in doubt, look at the physical differences between a standard Trygon and the FW Trygon. If it's bigger and gribblier to some extent, you can easily justify it being a Trygon Prime.

I would rather use the FW Trygon as the normal one not the Prime, as the GW Trygon definitely has more bling, e.g. the extra mandibles around the mouth. If you only have one Trygon, use it as you wish, as Prime and normal Trygon are very similar (small spikes on head and front carapace, the kit actually mostly distinguishing them by different options like adrenalin glands and toxic tail for the normal Trygon.
