Not used ebay for a year or so, but had some stuff go through yesterday and discovered that the sneaky fethers now charge you a 10% final value fee. Is there any way of getting round this? I'm getting rid of loads of stuff which may total £300 - £500 and do not want to pay them £30 to £50 for the privilege.

Welcome to feebay. I risk selling on dakka but I have no fees.

Holy cow, how is that place still running, with all the buyer bias you'd think no one would bother selling there.

Think I'll just dump the 1K seller score and head to ebid if I need to sell anything from now on.. that on until it sells option would save me a lot of hassle.

eBay is much more about the pro sellers these days than the on-line garage sale it used to be a few years go.

That said, it is still the -- unfortunate -- location of choice for selling or buying secondhand GW stuff and lots of other such crap.

Indeed, but didn't expect to find that ebay had changed that much in a year. I always wondered why you lot called it feebay. I now know

They should send you a care package with a tube of KY and a mouth guard when you open a sellers account. Then if the fee raping wasn't bad enough then paypal takes their ounce of flesh for their handling fee.

Also it is impossible to give bad feedback to a bad buyer.
