Well since GW is being EXTREMELY tight lipped nowadays and the rumor mill is almost non-existent, has anyone heard or seen any snippets about the supposed releases that are supposed to be coming out this summer? So far, all I've seen is alot of rumors about 8th edition, some folks still clinging to the hope that OK or TK will come out and thats about it. What happened to the rumors about new plastic Empire Knights, Black Knights, Dark Riders, etc. etc.?
On a side note, I know GW has it's new policies in place for suppressing rumors, but is anyone else think that people are going to hold off on buying new Fantasy armies until they see what the future of 8th edition holds? I remember vividly when 5th edition came out for 40K and I ended up having to sell multiple 40k armies that I loved simply due to the fact that I had almost no troop choices to hold objectives with? (My 19 crisis suit Farsight army comes to mind, with only 2 squads of 6 firewarriors in it).
Either way - the only thing I'm sure about now are new IG vehicles next month, as well as some new Eldar vehicles and a few plastic Orc models (whoohoo - plastic trolls - can't wait). Note the sarcasm on the trolls.
I know store owners get a 3 month release schedule (which should have come out by now) - help me please!

Their is a sheduled article for the GW website on April 17th, that should have information on 8th edition. I have no information other than "information coming on the 17th".

The rumour is that GW will put up snippets of the new O&G models a week today.

WHFB has not had much this year, even less than usual actually imo. However, GW may choose to release a load of fantasy models at once to try and tempt people in (wishful thinking).

I did hear a rumour that there would not be another army book out this year. :(

But on the plus side, it may mean they bring out more waves of models in nov/dec.

I thought O&G were supposed to be due out this year?

Orc and Goblin models in May, no new book.

That is because WFB is going quiet while they run the machines to build stock for the coming WFB8 release.

Once the dam breaks, we'll see plenty.

I really hope so. If they are not planning to release another book this year they will have to release a lot of things for it to feel like a 'fantasy year'. Maybe 10 plastic kits and as many metals (characters/ monsters).

I assumed that a new Fantasy Edition would mean a new O&G book. Isn't that how it always works?

Aren't Ogres in need of a new book as well?

I really hope they do more fantasy this year, more books and kits! I started learning the game recently and enjoy it more then 40k now.
I have mixed feelings about redoing core blocks, but anything that makes my gunline dwarfs more shooty is welcome
