so here is the final version of "Lieutenant Zoidberg"... so named by my wife, on account of how much we love that tentacle-mouthed Dr.








for those of you who saw the earlier thread WIP, i decided to go ahead and go with the (slightly smaller) Fex/Tyrant scything talons. i still wanted to have him look all sneaky-like though, and that's part of the reason for the talons by the side.

comments and critiques welcome!

i like it, though, i would consider adding a piece of carapace plating above its neck to make the lictors hooded look, and if its possible, raise the scything talons a bit. other than that, the concept is amazing and you did Dr. Zoidberg proud

ood points Stasis! i was thinking about the "hood" but had forgotten. thanks for reminding me!

Looks great though maybe not very Lictor-like - the scytals are maybe a bit too over bearing. (IMO at least)
That said, its always good to see variety of models on the gaming table

Do you have access to any of the different sized scytals from the Trygon box set ? (friends or used ones at your FLGC)
There are about 4-5 different sized sets IIRC, should be able to find something less powerful

I agree. It looks good - but still says 'warrior' to me.

The model is too hunched over IMO. Maybe do some repositioning to lean the torso back some and possibly even try to heat up the legs with the salt trick or just some boiling water and try to "stretch" them out a bit?

Also, I think those MC talons could work but I would definitely raise them up above his head like the real lictor talons.

And of course the already-mentioned 'hood' as well.

thanks for the fedback guys! i am working on giving him a hood, and considering changing the arm positioning (they aren't glued yet) i may also try to get some Mawloc/Trygon talons to have a better size. i'll try to post pics when i do!

To be a real Zoidberg you would need the crushing claws off the Carnifex I think.... also they would have to be held above his head and obviously moving sideways

Love the pose- very sneaky, but I think the scything talons are a little too large. Keep the position, but scale them down IMO.

For my Lictor's scything talons, I used the Warrior's arm of the little scythe and the scythe part of the little scythe, and connected them. o-o Then add spikes, GS, whatever.
