My attempt at copying a Stormraven conversion I saw. the front's a bit wonky, and I still need to do some greenstuff work.

You can upload your images to the dakka gallery and get an image link for the forums.

If you were trying to use the image tags on the url above, it probably came up broken as that is not the url for the actual image, but the url for a page on photobucket where your image is displayed.

You will need to get the actual image url and use it with the img tags.

great idea i cant wait to see it when its a little more developed.

I really like its shape !
But IMHO the bottom lascannons may disturb his landing.

yeah, Valk and a crusader, with some bits from a IG heavy weapons team. there's also a drop pod door on the underside to fill most of the gap where the crusader doesn't meet up well with the valk hull.

fairly new to plasticard use, so it needs a bit of tidying up still, but the major gaps have been filled, and I like the piston-y underside.

still not sure how to mount the missiles, or where the dreadnaught grapples could go.

I don't think that lascannon looks right there, the first time it skims low they'll be ripped off. Never mind landing. Maybe put them on the short frontal wings?

it is done! I moved the lascannons to under one of the front wings, I kind of like the asymmetry, also added landing gear.

It's painted up in Death Company colors, I know I'm not a spectacular painter, but I'm pretty proud of how it came out.





EDIT: my room mate plays Ultramarines, which is the explanation for the wrecked 'raider.

probably gonna do one in regular Flesh Tearers colors, not sure yet what my plans are. I still need to paint the rest of my army before I look at expanding

Death company storm raven... fills my head with all sorts of kamakasi thoughts. Live the conversion though.

thanks for all the feedback so far! after some more thought I went back and touched up some stuff, nothing really big, did some more of the engine and some minor details. here's a couple fresh pics.

1. Is the front ramp movable?
2. Where do you put the Dreadnought?

Looks great and the paint job is crisp and effective.

Nitpick: you need to cut and rotate the lascannon muzzles so they are oriented correctly imho...

1) no. I tried. oh how I tried. but it just didn't work out.

2) that is an excellent question. I'm not sure. I couldn't fit a grapple for him anywhere that looked good (to me). I think the pneumatic pistons on the underside of the front offer the possibility that the whole front opens like a snake's jaw and lets him out that way. Maybe. The problem I've had with conversions that have a grapple on the underside it that I can't figure out how they'd hook up the dreadnaught without the thing taking off first, on the back it just looks ugly (again, just my opinion here).

1. Thought as much. Damn shame.

I have crazy Idea about making a TL Multimelta by using he Land Raider Exhausts.
