That is awesome. Very well painted, and a fantastic use of parts. Brilliant work!

I really like the way you've done the cockpit, for some reason I think it really fits with the grimdark atmosphere, even more than the usual cockpit. And the feet are nice too, they really remind me of the mechwarrior mechs. I love it, it's a really nice job!

Inboud...

Fantastic model! Well executed and with a fantastic use of bits. Could you give us a list of the kits you used? I'm having trouble identifying its hip joint.

My only (tiny) gripe is that it isn't in a more dynamic pose, although I assume that's for stability purposes.

Great job!

Good job!

The real threat to the imperium is not:

it is :
92% of teens have moved on to rap. If you are one of the 8% who still listen to real music, copy and paste this into your sig.
95% of teens would go into a panic attack if the jonas brothers were about to jump off the empire state building copy and paste this if you are the 5% who would pull up a lawn chair grab some popcorn and yell JUMP BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GENERATION 6: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

Thanks guys for your compliments, I really enjoyed building it and just sort of made it up as I went along.

She's mainly built out of various Cities of Death building parts, two Valkyrie kits and a bunch of plasticard.

CadianXV wrote:Could you give us a list of the kits you used? I'm having trouble identifying its hip joint.

Sure. Apart from the things listed above, the hip is built of the following:

A - Front "window" piece off an old-school Rhino kit. I needed something with an angle so that the legs would face diagonally outwards nicely.

B - Part of the barrel off a Stormlord kit.

C - The waist "box/cube" itself was made out of Cities of Death Flooring, with plasticard used as well.

Hope this helps

Definitely for stability purposes. The whole model is plastic GW pieces, plasticard, and glue. There are no metal pieces or pins in the model. I'm actually not that good (or patient!st) at measuring and cutting straight lines or angles so I took the "path of least resistance" when it came to selecting parts and how to put them together.

Lovely work.

The Valkyrie cockpits for the head is a clever idea. You've done a great job of blending bits and plasticard construction.

Only thing I'm not really sold on is the foot assembly. Looks a little awkward and undersized having just the toes without having a central 'foot' piece. It does cut down the footprint of a rather large model, though, which is handy.

I fething love it. You, my friend, win an internet.

The cockpit is amazing and the left weapon (plasma blastgun, I presume) looks good but a little bit boxy.

Otherwise, I wants one.

Okay, I've been on a bit of a hiatus 2011-14

Great model, lots of work, well thought out and top skill. Inspirational in fact.

Any idea how long it took to finish? I like the paint job, truely but personally I'd make it not rusty as Titans are 'God Machines' and are looked after reveried as holy artifacts. Like I said, just my personal opinion, you've done a great paint job.

Thanks again for your comments everyone! All feedback is greatly appreciated

The model was built over about a week, I'd say about four or five afternoons. There were no plans or drafts, I just held pieces together to see what looked coolest according to the picture in my head.

The most time consuming part was the detailing - not going overboard and trying to match the pre-existing aesthetic of the Valkyrie parts, while "blending" them structurally with the Cities of Death parts. Lots and lots of tiny holes drilled to match the ones on the Valkyrie kit - thank the Emperor that they weren't rivets!!

It took about two afternoons worth of painting, although I could probably have gotten her done in a whole day if I weren't so lazy.

I deliberately went for a muted and understated 'desert' theme, to let the model "speak" for itself, if that makes sense. I think I am an okay painter, here are a few of my other models if people are curious

By all means I think the modeling is wonderful and for a, "shoot from the hip," perspective its well done. Though I think the paintjob is what brings this into the amazing category. Like a lot of "conversions" its actually less about the modeling and more about how well the paint job is exectuted.

Great looking titan. I love the valkyrie cockpit idea. How come you painted the glass? it might have been cool to see the crew inside the windows
