Just a revision on an older list. Simple list with a straight-forward strategy (its Orks, after all!). They Wagons roll forward and beat face, while the Buggies bust transports or lighter armor, etc. The Nobz crack tough nuts, while the Boyz take objectives.

Should work, ideally.

Any thoughts?

I would take Ghaz at this point level for sure. Other than that I like it. How well do the buggies perform I have been meaning to try them out?

I could drop Buggies for Ghazzie, but that seems like a lot of points for a single model. I know he is good, but is he worth it?

Ghaz in a list like this well worth the points IMO. I run a similar list and had a lot of success because of Ghaz Waaagh! can drop a squad of buggies and have Ghaz replace warboss.

Overall though very very solid list.

Orks - 5200
Ultramarines - 2900
Imperial Guard - 740

Just not keen on the S&P liability, though.

Even if not so keen on the S&P liability, Ghaz is very, very, very good. He is corner piece and pretty much whatever those angry eyes set on is going to die. His WAAAGH! is as good as it gets and being able to have a 2+ Invul save when you use it with a free 6" fleet is good for the whole army. It can be a timing thing, but watch the opponent turn pale when you say, "And Ghaz performs his WAAAAAGGH!"

If you get ghaz you lose what little ranged anti tank you have. And lets face it S8 rokkits don't threaten everything.

I like the list a lot, however ghazgkull doesn't add much benefit to this army. All your units are in wagons so you'll be speeding ahead.

I agree losing some anti-transport (not anti-tank let's get literal here) is always bad in an Ork list

Here I disagree. Turn one everything is gunna move up 12" on turn two you can have a guaranteed 26" (27" if you want to get technical) Assault range. So even if the weedy gits sit on their back line they are in boot stomping range

Yup that's true but the wagons give you a 20" assault move anyway. So you're only gaining a extra 6" anyway, and then if you call a waaagh you could end up rolling a 6 anyway for some units so lets say average roll will be a 4 so that's a 24" move. Is ghazgkull worth the auto 6 for every unit giving you a 26" assault move when you can possibly assault 24" - I don't think so.

If Ghazghkull only made my army fearless, that would be enough.

But no Lootas, no Deffkoptas....no kommandos....

I think you have a good list - its a solid build.

It is not a take-all-comers list. I'm not sure if that's your goal or not? If it *is* then you've got some issues. Mech IG, Mechdar, DE, Tau with Piranhas - those three armies are going to hurt you badly, DE the most.

@OP, if you have Vassal, look me up for a game sometime soon. If you don't have it, download it - I'd be happy to give you an 'Ard Boyz practice game against my own 'Ard Boyz list and show you some of your real weaknesses. I don't think I can table you without losing a model, but I'd be willing to bet that I can get close.

I still don't think you need it. In standard deployment you'll start at least 12" from the table edge. So first turn you could get a total movement of 32", now if your opponent starts 12" in as well that's a 44" total altogether which is just 4" shy of a first turn assault, something which you could do in the second no problem

It is an all-comers list. Dark Eldar aren't a threat, imo. The speed of the army ensures I can close and smash hard. Mechdar is a problem, but it damn near always is and it is something I just need to learn to beat instead of possibly tweaking for it and losing effectiveness across the board against other opponents. Mech IQ wouldn't be that hard, because I play it and know how hard this army is to stop from closing in. Tau? No one plays Tau.

Also, the specialty is geared towards MEQ armies anyhow, since that is the most common army. Better to beat 80% of the field than tweak to beat 5%.

I don't do the Vassal thing, just doesn't seem sporting or all that fun. I prefer the tactile sensation of rolling dice and shoving models.
