Techpriests have the 'Blessings of the Omnissiah' rule which allows them to repair one weapon destroyed or immobilised result of a vehicle in base contact on a 5+, adding one for each servitor with a Servo-arm in his unit.

If a Techpriest were to have 4 Servitors with Servo-arms with him, would he automatically repair one of the Vehicle Damage results.

Yes

There is nothing that says this roll automatically fails on a roll of a 1, and if you get enough bonuses to turn a "1" into a "5" then you will succeed every time.

4 servitors with arms = auto pass untill a servitor dies.

Space Wolves need to max out with 3 Thrall-Servitors and take Saga of the Iron Wolf to get to this magic auto-repair point.

I think I must have read somewhere else that that rolling a one was always a fail. Thats where the question came from.

`A 1 is only a fail on specific items, and in fact is always a pass on characteristic tests...

Nosferatu is correct. Otherwise roles for armor penetration would fail with a roll of one as well. One of my friends tried to make that point but it didn't make sense after discussing it. Later we found the the "1" rule is for only for specific things such as "to hit" rolls.
