Lets find out if everybody records if they win or loose agents a army telling what army they played we could average they and find out if they are more likely to win or loose a army.
So when you have a battle tell if you win or loose and what the armies where

The same thing is also in Fantasy.

You're unlikely to get a statistically viable sample from an informal forum poll.

If you somehow garner several thousand responses to every single possible match up then yes. Odds are low however.

I am also depending on other sources

for example there are a tone of battle reports on this website use those + what people post there i can get a lot of data!!!

This post shows that all 40k armies are broadly balanced, at least, within the accuracy of the sample.

If you want to do your own statistical work you'd be better of using the same method - gather results from large, diverse tournaments. However, unless you have some form of training in the field of statistics, I'd advize against it. Bad analysis is worse than none at all and statistics is a very, very deceptive sphere of maths. A sphere where most people (including me) know just enough to be dangerous.

Perfectly balanced in every option and configuration? No.

Adequately balanced for normal play? Sure.

Adequately...maybe at the time they came out...My Daemonhunters are dying in this 5th edition mech rules all world.

But I have been winning a decent amount of games...strategy can mean more than which army you play.
