The jump packs and helmet are from MaxMini.

I'll add to the thread when the first five are completed.

I've also got some new decals with a fancier (and not hand-drawn) heart for the chapter symbol.

But the lamenters aren't pre-heresy, so how come they have pre-heresy jump packs?

Fluff-wise it could be that the now-depleted Lamenters have to use equipment cobbled together from old stores or looted from battlefields and forgeworld museums.

Short answer: because I think the conversions are cool.

Nice model. The Lamenters don´t (according to most fluff anyway) suffer from the flaws of other BA successors though. So no red thirst, no black rage. They´re more of a vanilla marine chapter. :(

Still, this looks cool enough that I´d just say "yeah well these do".

Fluff doesn't say they dumped all their DC colors. I can see an assault company painted black in rememberance of those who succumed.

Perhaps the Lamenters retrieved some ancient Blood Angels gear from their parent chapter.

In any case, very cool model-wise. I am using that same type of helmet for my Lamenters first company terminator force. But... Lamenters are supposed to not suffer the black rage.
