Where the heck do I find the rules for Forge World gubbins nowadays? I have been trying to find rules for ork stuff in particular now for over an hour and can't find it anywhere on their site! What the heck FW?! Was this the best design you could come up with? Sure it's pretty, but where the heck are the rules section?! WHERE!?!

I think he measn the pdf section. There used to eb a section on the site full of PDF ruel sheets. I can't find it either. methinks it is gone.

I think its to do with the new website and all. They just havn't got their downloads up yet. All their experimental rules Imp.armour 1&2 and their FaQ have disapeared.

The new site went up, what? A week or two ago? Cut them some slack before crying about it. A brand new site isn't an easy thing to do, even without having to add new product to it every so often.

There's never been any ork rules to download - just the experimental rules for the newest ork bits and those were taken down when IA8 was finalised.

The IA1 and IA2 updates is a bigger problem since these are not available elsewhere. If anyone wants them I can upload the current versions.

Generally when a company updates their website they try to maintain its functionality. This isn't Tim, age 12 updating his Angelfire site.

You don't know GW's web history much, do you? GW's ALWAYS forgotten to update stuff/left stuff behind when they update their sites. GW still seems to think the interwebs is a fad that will pass and that hard media is better.

That said, FW has stated that that section will be put back up in due time.

From what I understand:
Part of the issue with the download section at the moment is they're also weeding out things that were currently download only, but will be in IA8. They're aiming to have the FAQs back up, and the Experimental rules for things that don't have a volume featuring them are priorities with the FAQs.

They're also writing the Krieg army list/Vraks FAQs from what sources say.

I know GW is terrible at the internet but that doesn't mean I have to cut them slack about anything.

And Tim, age 12, updating his Angelfire site isn't trying to maintain a measure of security for international customers utilizing the website, maintain a functional product catalog, fix pricing errors that cropped up due to random kinks in the coding of the site, handle a relatively large volume of traffic--all while also having to prepare for events where they'll be selling product in person.

Your comparison is idiotic at best. If you had compared it, say, to Rackham or Privateer you'd have made a decent point.

Professional companies don't half ass websites and complain about having to do their jobs. If GW wants to be a respectable company they have to deal with the same issues as everyone else without whining about it.

I'm sorry you don't understand how I used the comparison to make a point about how businesses do not need to be cut slack because "making a website is hard ". They are a company, not an individual.

Actually, it generally IS an individual with GW(and probably FW, too since it's a group of 5-8 guys total, IIRC). Nick Davis did most of the GW website by himself when he stopped working for them on WD US and became their free-lance webguy.
