I have built a Speed Freak Tank hunting list and have been reviewing it. I've thought about it and I am not sure if the Cybork bodies on the Nobz are worth it at 5 points a model, simply because I don't think it would come in to play very often at all. Just looking for some opinions, and maybe some experience with the situation.

Yes and no.

Yes: If you are running a large bike unit, you'll want to make each nob unique. Remember that they are 2 wound models. If you give one nob cybork and Klaw, one nob just a Klaw, and so forth, you can distribute the wounds without losing models as fast.

No: The ability to have a 5+ invulnerable save on every model in a nob biker squad is not really worth 5 points when you've also spent a crapton on bikes already.

Ill say no. Mostly because they get a 4+ cover save from shots on the way to the fight. And there normally isnt a crap ton of power weapons/weapons that ignore your armor save anyways. Sure the 4+ armor is easier to get around, but your taking a painboy on bike as well Id imagine, so theres a 4+ right there anyways.
Normally Id say save the points

Seriously? Cybork body is the only thing that saves them against power fists and big guns.. After 1 turn of turbo boosting (or if you lose first turn) youre gonna get shot to pieces

If youre worried about points then drop 1 nob and give the rest the invul.. It'll save much more points for you.. Every 3 power fist hits is basically 1 nob you still have

So, if you think youll get hit LESS than 3 times with a weapon that causes instant death then by all means never take it..

I say take it just so you can boast about having a unit with an armour save, Invul save, cover save AND Feel no Pain.

His logic is undeniable.

Kirasu is right!

These guys are going to die in handfulls to anything monstrous or with PFists. Not to mention certain "no cover save" weapons whose AP might be high enough to ignore that massive 4+ save!

Cybork is the only help you have.

Well, there you have it then. Dash won a Golden Ticket to LV with Dark Eldar.

DARK ELDAR! If he says to take Cybork, you take Cybork. End of Discussion.
