Hey dakka, i have looked and looked and i cannot find any inspiration or ideas for the dreadnought force weapon.
ofc talking about the furioso librarian dread here =)

Funny thing is that is exactly what I had envisioned (for the weapon that is) minus the bike of course.

Personally I think that Forge World force weapon is rather weak and especially too small for something as badarse as a Librarian Furioso.

I'm not ready for photos yet, but I've got a bunch of bits together to make something that resembles that biker dread photo lol.

Basically I have the large power-type-fist from the Warmachine (Protectorate) Heavy Warjack and Tomb Kings Ushabti Asp weapon and the shaft from Assault marine sprue power weapon for the top half of the staff. I just need some plastic tubing for the rest of staff and I can start pinning, adding GS and purity seals etc...

I think the axe from Khador warjacks would be just about perfect.

Hah beat you to it! ...funny though I just came from the store and browsed all of the warmachine stuff just for this purpose.

I was more concerned with the hand that holds the weapon than the weapon itself though. Power weapons are not so difficult to make with plastic tubing and plasticard.

well the Khador stuff is just about the perfect size to use as a dread hand. If you get one make sure you get the plastic kit because you get a lot of arms you can use. Also the Decimator has a saw arm that might work for blood talons.

I totally agree and yeah that is true, many of the kits are still metal. The Protectorate Heavy Warjack that I bought is plastic. Their plastic is kind of funny too, it's some sort of resin and slightly more brittle than GW plastic but less brittle than Forge World resin.

You can order specific parts from their store, too, though I'm not sure what shipping's like. I was going to specifically recommend weapon arms from Beast-09 (Khador), Firefly (Cygnar) or Stormclad (Cygnar).

This is what I did for my Librarian Dread and the force weapon. Used the plastic arms from the Ironclad dread with the body and such from the Venerable Dread. Shaved off the chainfist teeth, then added a blade with plasticard. Worked well enough and now I have a Ironclad Dread to build for my other marine army. Huzzah.

I wouldn't worry to mush about this. I think GW might release a set for this during the spearhead release. Wait a couple months and a conversion pack might be out.
