I got invited to take part in a friendly tournament of 40k this summer, as a way for some of us to start playing the game. I haven´t played since the 3rd edition really, but have read the rules. Posting my army here to get some comments and sugestions.

Still trying to figure out what to do with the last 29 pts as well.

Why do you have two warrior squads out of raiders, and two in? Do you not have enough raiders?

Also, I think not taking ravagers...taking none at all is a mistake. >< You need some anti-MEQ, and nothing does it better than triple plasma cannons (IE, disintegrators).

If I were to build a 1,000 point list (I have two minutes before a conference call) it would start with 3x ravagers, then pack as many dark lances in there as I could get. The end.

The reason is that I want to have two sniper squads back in the lines. That can give some sort of covering fire. Maybe not useful at all.

In regards to anti-meq, the responsability goes to the troop hunters (read agonisers) and blasters used in the army.
