Here's the one rule I can't stand in the Nid codex and I would (metaphorically) kiss Cruddance if this were FAQ'd. Crushing claws really, really, really ought to work like the Tech-priest's servo-arm.

Example: A crabbifex charges in close combat. It gets 5 attacks at I3 due to Living Battering Ram and D3 attacks at I1. That way Crushing Claws pointless nerfing without any reduction in points cost is somewhat mitigated. I'm amazed this rule wasn't written this way as Cruddance wrote the Guard Codex with the Tech-priest in it! He wrote the precedent for this!

PS: This makes Old One Eye just a bit better for his ridiculous cost and doesn't make his Living Battering Ram rule a pointless redundancy. Sadly this would also make Old One Eye a completely indestructible game-breaking engine of living death actually capable of killing your opponent with his Awesome.

PPS: This is actually how we play Old One Eye at my store. Works great!

I agree, I don't use claws for that very reason.

Trade rules: lower rep trades ships 1st. - I ship within 2 business days, if it will be longer I will contact you & explain. - I will NOT lie on customs forms, it's a felony, do not ask me to mark sales as "gifts". Free shipping applies to contiguous US states.

Wherever they tell me

I thought the rules were like that currently. Do the crushing claws drop all attacks to I of 1?

Tyranids 10000 points
Orks 3500 points
Raven Guard 3000 points

So you want an extra few attacks with no drawback?
I dont mind it.

I just catalyst him and then send him in, if you have more in a unit, all still gain catalyst.

May not seem like alot, but stops it being killed before it attacks back, just avoid power weps.

Old one eye is the one that is the worsed for it, his living battering ram does nothing anyway lol. (since he has the claws anyway)
And for his points, i rather have a catalyst fex unit with claws, since he is a bit more than a land raider on his own.
