Out of curiousity i've been looking around for what you get for winning the 'ard boyz finals....but aparantly it's a secret until the finals happen. So does anyone have any idea what 1st place gets? And if not then what did 1st place get last year? I've been hitting brick wall after brick wall finding out what you get for winning the finals, this year or any years.

The prize is a trophy and some amount of GW cash. I think last year was $300-$500


Over all its nowhere near the prize of placing first in the semis.

Hmm Well i'm going to hope it's the 2nd replyers prize, though doing anything that's similar to what the govornator had to avoid in a movie might just be worth it...

Last year, the top three received ork weapon trophies and $300/$200/$100. What they advertised, however, was, "an absurdly huge pile of loot."

This year, they're only advertising the trophies.

Indeed, there was not an absurdly huge pile of loot, not even a small pile of loot, but rather a couple of items. :(

I'd rather have a Trophy, personally. I already have more models than I'll probably ever paint... not that I'm not trying!

Too bad the trophies they give out are not allowed carry-on the airplane. While I think the experience was fun at last years game, I was a little shocked at the lack of prize support.

When it first started, the prizes were pretty huge. I think in 2007 first prize was a 2500pt Forgeworld Red Scorpions SM army. Second was a giant FW Tyranid thing, with a bunch of tyranid plastic kits to go with it, matching one of the Apocalypse (which was new) formations- maybe a Trygon & a pile of Raveners? Third was the FW GD of Slaanesh and maybe sixty daemonettes.

In 2008 they had reduced the FW stuff, but still had hundreds’ worth, and the Ork weapon trophies. Two of my friends & clubmates exactly tied for 3rd, and since they didn’t have another pile of FW stuff, they gave the other one a new Realm of Battle board.
