I was thinking about getting some matte finish spray paint, but citadel's is too pricey for me. Would this: http://www.krylon.com/products/matte_finish/ be any good? Krylon makes really good products, so this would be my first choice over citadel, but I'd be happy to hear any other alternatives. I'd prefer if you could buy it at home improvement stores or general craft stores. If it's over 15$, don't bother mentioning it!

Thanks!

Depends on how flat you want to go.

If you want flat as flat can be go with Testors Dullcote.

Not used citadel matte but I like the Krylon Matte I have. I used almost exclusively Krylon products (primers, flat paints, clears).

Never had a problem EVER with any Krylon product.

I've used various matt varnishes but not Dullcote.

In my experience the matt effect depends on proper mixing of the varnish before it is applied.

So..krylon is good to go?

I really just need it for finishing up some ugly chaos black on my rhinos. Most spray paint is already matte, but I didn't spray it with black,so I've got ugly shiny spots all over the things!ragesauce

Yes, I use a number of Krylon Matte finishes. All have been pretty good. Test it out on the bottom of your tank first though.
