This is my latest work in progress, it's a Necron Destroyer Lord which is partly assembled but mostly layed out in the pictures. I need some help with ideas but first the pictures:

Front

and back

There are a mix of necron, tomb king and empire wizard bits in there. The wings/sides will be mounted higher so that the highest parts will work as arm rests. And the skulls with mini-flags will be mounted on the front of the wings. Hopefully that gives you an idea of what I'm aiming for

My problem is I'm procrastinating with the finishing. Here are my questions:

1. Weapon. I'm thinking of using either the Dawn Blade from Commander O'Shovah or using a Tomb king blade from an Ushtabi or making a blade from scratch ni this general area of design. What would look best?

2. The "foot rest" is not aligned with the rest of the chair. I'm having doubts as to if that is ok or if they need to be bulked up. Ideas in this area?

3. Other inputs, does it look ok, is there anything drastically missing from the look or anything else that will make the model go WOW a little bit more.

Thanks for looking, here's hoping for some good feedback.

Looks good but if you are good with green stuff, you could make the chair a little less plain, maybe ribs or other detailing.

Okay, I've been on a bit of a hiatus 2011-14

Wow, l like this a lot. It looks like it could be one of those Gold Level Lords that we never see. Armrests should really add to the coolness.

Only thing I can think of to improve the look would be to make him sit more upright in his chair. It'll make him look more regal and lordly.

I seems I forgot to write everything in the post. The Lord will get a green stuff cloak this will hopefully cover the seat of the chair. The back rest will remain plain so as to leave some space for freehand painting.

Really interesting take on a Destroyer Lord. I'm gonna have to keep an eye on this one to see how it turns out, and which ideas I can steal for my own future use!

I would love to see him with a staff in one hand, would feel more regal to me.

As If he was sitting on the throne commanding his army...

The use of the gold wizard head is inspired. It complements the Necron look amazingly well. Simple but very sharp conversion idea.

Id, apply runes on the chair also, have them glowing if your good at highlighting and blending.

Good work. I'm not sure about the whole pharao style cheek though. It seems to long.

The pose could be a bit more intimidating. Perhaps tilt his head slightly forward to indicate a sterner look. Right now it almost looks like he's a frail old man trying to keep his back straight or is about to rise from the throne. It's a little hunched, I think. Maybe the cloak will make it look more natural.

Keep it up.
