Here is a Heresy-Era Abaddon I made using the chaos termie kit.
I decided to start using the Max-Mini shoulders and you know what they work perfectly chaulk up another win for Max-Mini
There are shoulderpads that work very well for the 1st captain.
I hope they make some new batches soon especially the one with the straps
The other 4 Justaerin will be in the classic straps for the most part.
I would like to do 5 close combat and 5 with ranged.

Honestly I thought it looked thick in some spots. Golds/bronzes/coppers are easy to make look thick, its just the pigments in them. I personally always dry brush the area to be gold with either boltgun metal (or silver if you want it brighter) and then load up the brush, and take practically all the gold paint off the brush, and just dry brush the gold pigments onto the silver area. Never does it look thick and it just shines.

Looking good though, still cant wait to see it fully painted

Those are Iron Warriors helmets. They used to be able to be ordered from GW as bits, many years ago. Sadly GW doesn't want easy money any more, so they are currently only available in a conversion kit that nobody in their right mind would buy just for the heads.
It does contain some nice torsos, but they are a bit larger than usual so are kinda weird to use. The lascannon and melta gun that come with it are okay.

With all the chaos stars and such they are more during the heresy than before and the luna wolves paint was grey not black but i like where this is going.

They were the Sons of Horus by the time they rebelled, not the Luna Wolves. I'm racking my memories to try and remember what the Justaerin colours were when the Sons of Horus were created, but black seems right.

While the luna Wolves were grey/white, the Justaerin Terminators were always black.

The big misconception I think everyone makes is how termies are organized during the Heresy Era.
Every Company had Termies.
The Justaerin were First companies terminators and they always wore black.
Lokens 10th also had terminators and they were in the light grey livery of the Luna Wolves.
Thats why they made a point to say in the first book the Justaerin were in all glossy black like they belonged to some other black legion.
