I want thought I wouldn't be able to drive it anywhere; I doubt it's street legal.

Theyre selling the GD rhino? awesome

Actually it IS street legal - all it needs are rubber pads int eh tracks to reduce damage, and it is MOT and Tax exempt. There is a company which has converted two old APCs into one APC "limo" in the UK....

They are a lot more tolerant of tracked vehicles than here in the states.

It was built for the DoWII launch by THQ, it used to be an old British army FV432 APC, that they've built round. It's a beast too, there's a couple of videos of it in action on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PEU_201IfI

It has a numberplate - this at least suggests it's registered with the Driving Standards Agency - which in turn would mean it has Tax and MOT (or indeed a valid exemption).

That's awesome. Mind you, if you registered it as a private vehicle, and drive it on the road, you might end up having to pay for an MOT on it, as it may not qualify. Unless of course you can convince the DSA it's a tractor!

But even main battle tanks carry registration plates and you certainly can't use them on the roads. I'm fairly sure that they are picky about people using tracked vehicles on the roads because even with rubber blocks fitted they still damage the road surface, the heavier stuff does certainly. Or you might find it difficult to get the right driving licence as a civilian. I don't know but I don't think you would be allowed to drive to work in this thing.

Not being a resident/citizen of the U.K. I was thinking more locally. People 'round these parts get nervous when someone drives a tank down the street.

If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.

Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.

Hahaha. Pedestrians have the right of way when it comes to driving a car... but I'm sure I would think twice about walking across the road when a tank is rolling my way.

I actually have a full body tattoo, but it's of an invisibility cloak, so you can't see it.

LOL, yeah, especially when you go to step into the street and the turret starts tracking you. Yes, I realize this one has no turret, but the picture in my head was too funny not to comment on.
