Same as topic.
All the models are primed, based, and very well painted (no really, not like some kid painted it.)
Just to answer some FAQ
Q. Why is one Land Speeder unpainted?
A. I was saving it for a weekend and will finish it before selling it.
Q. Is this playable?
A. Yes it a little bit of everything and everything needed to play a salamander army as well
Q. Why do some of the models look different?
A. Some of the models for those with good sight are from no longer created models, such as the old salamander exclusive chaplain and the old librarian. The termies as well ^_^!
Q. The entire landraider is freehand?
A. Yes, it took 3 weeks to get that salamander logo right...
What I have is listed in this PDF.
Also here is a picture.
This is going on ebay so I can start Vampire Counts for 8th ed fantasy and finish my Samurai Jack Tyranids http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/267649.page

The paint looks really thick , cannot give you an accurate price without an accurate picture.

Ok, I am going to be very honest with you here. Your army is not very well painted. It looks like very thick paint without any good highlighting. Another problem you have is that your vehicles don't look very well put together. Your land Raider has spaces that it shouldn't between sections and it looks like your MMs on your land speeders have been broken and reattached incorrectly.
The chances of you selling this for more then MSRP on the items is very low.
In order to maximize your earning potential I would suggest selling all the pieces individually. This usually is the way to go with Ebay. Personally I think you should offer it up for sale on a forum and see if you can get someone to offer a fairly high price for it. But on Ebay I am thinking you might get $300 or $250 out of the army if you listed it all together.

Also when you put it up on eBay, don't say "pro painted". Use pictures to tell everyone how good they are. Close ups of the cool stuff like that banner and the OOP stuff.
But, sell them piece by piece like the above suggests.

well yeah of course its not pro-painted.... not every army out there is... if it was then their would be a lot more people playing this game.
Honestly though I would rather not sell the pieces seperate. (Space marine arm 10$)
The whole point of selling of this army was like myself when I first started, is to get a new player with all the models necessary to play large point games right off the back.

Read the tutorial section on taking decent to good photos and then repost some pics. Its too hard to really see how well they are painted at the moment.

I certainly understand your reluctance to sell it off in different sections and the final decision is up to you. All I am telling you is what you can expect to earn and that you will earn more by selling it in sections. Not by arms and legs though While I do strongly suggest you break it down into logical "blocks" to sell I do understand why you wouldn't want to. But one thing you should realize is that it may not be a new player that buys the army from you anyway.

Very good advice. In any business, you should not make any assumptions about who your customers are or who they are going to be. You may have a target in mind, but people will surprise you a lot of the time.
Other EBay Tips:
Present the information as accurately as possible with a detailed inventory. And clear pictures!
If you don't have a good seller rating, do you know someone with one who can help you through the process? (this will improve your views on the auction, and improve the confidence of buyers to post bids)
Post the auction so that it will end between 10 and 11pm PST. This will help to ensure that the last minute bidding that occurs for a lot of auctions occur during the prime time of Ebay surfer activity in the US.
Later,
WR

Indeed, unfortunately most people on ebay are looking to buy cheap, strip, and repaint. In that regard, I would leave your land speeder unpainted. It's, sadly, probably worth more that way. Also, provided you didn't use one of the "bonds to plastic primers", should probably list what types of primers and paints you used. This will give those types of consumers a better idea of what they are getting into and make you auction more appealing.
I have been looking at getting some marines on ebay. Your are probably looking at getting between 65 to 70% of retail if you want it to sell quickly. You are simply going to have to take what you can get on the foot marines. There are hundreds of sellers of marines often for as cheap as 10 for 15 or 20$. Your are going to make your money on vehicles. From my experience anything that the price + shipping is less than about 5 dollars off MSRP goes pretty quick. I've also seen pure armor forces go pretty high so that may be an option.
Good luck selling

I would sell each squad and vehicle in a separate auction. So you would sell the marines in squads of 10 with a sergeant, heavy weapon, and a special weapon. And you should list the character and out of print models individually as they will sell well that way.
As far as price goes I feel that you should start each one at .99. Make sure you also charge enough for shipping that you do not lose money on that also.

Lol only 99 cents? I have seen those auctions where its like HUGE MASSIVE ARMY ONLY 10$ and its really well painted to. But it only sells for 15$ because it flys under the radar and the seller is super pissed!

Never seen that but what I have seen more is people putting a high price and never selling it. Like I said I have sold several thousand items on ebay so I think I know what I am talking about. Start the bid low and it will attract customers.
Unless you list your item poorly it will sell for what it is worth or more.

Like what many have already stated numerous times.
Take Proper pictures. Is there a reason why a good clear picture without the need for potential
customers to 2nd guess what they are looking at is bad idea?
THEN we can talk about how you should price them.
Its entirely possible that a blurry photo can fetch better price
since the customers cannot see the proper quality of the paint job.
But thats never your intention right?

As has been stated, you will be lucky to break even with them.
Most people dont want painted models.
I'm not even sure I could sell my Blood Ravens at above the cost it took to purchase them and convert them, and people seem to think they have a decent paint job.
Best of luck to you tho mate.

if I had the money roleplayer, i'd commission an entire army at your quality, and be willing to pay 50% above models / materials price you make some very, very nice stuff.
As for OP, i'd expect to sell your army at about 40-50% off list price. You can easily buy new on sprue marine models for 20-30% off on ebay, and your painting and assembly, while not TERRIBLE, I'd imagine to reduce the price by another 10-20%

Personally, I'd recommend against listing at $0.99. If you have low feedback, people will be hesitant to bid, and they might not go for much.
I used to have success listing that way, but it's a mixed bag. The last time I did it with low/nothing starting prices, and splitting everything up, I got totally hosed. The next time I listed them in army lots at reasonable prices. They did fine. My personal take, list it as a lot and see if someone is willing to spring for it. If not, you can always break it up later.
It's way less work. And although many ebayers are scrounging for scrap, some are looking for entire armies, and you can do pretty well with an army listing. If you break it up, people who are bidding on a single item will factor in shipping, which will cut into profit... rather than a single shipping fee for the army. Of course, you can combine shipping, but if they're bidding on multiple units, they might have bid on it as a lot, anyway.
Those are my thoughts! Try selling it as an army before splitting it up, and let us know how it goes...

Whats wrong with living in your moms basement?
But seriously ANY digital camera can take clear pictures you just need to know how. It is harder when you don't have a manual zoom though. So here are some things you can do to get a better picture.
1. Don't take a picture of the entire army at once. Just take a picture of each individual squad or vehicle.
2. Put the something behind the model you are going to take the picture of. This will "force" the auto focus to actually focus on what you are taking the picture of and not something in front of or behind of the models.
3. Play around with your settings to see if you get better pictures with different settings. Most cameras have some kind of menu that will let you adjust for less light or close up shots.
If you don't do this you will lose bidders. So it only takes a little bit of time and actually is easy once you figure it out.

All the models are primed, based, and very well painted (no really, not like some kid painted it.)
This is not very well painted. It is tabletop quality. A few items look nice, like the banner, but a lot of it looks very flat. The pictures don't help either, it makes some things look blotchy (like the white helmets, the red eyes etc.)
I would agree with the above, take better pictures, try to sell it as an army at first, with a decent starting price. Don't overstate the painting, let the buyer jugde for himself. If someone is looking for a pro-painted army, they will not be fooled by a dazzling text when they see the pictures.

"Straight Fething Silver" Tanith first and only
I have a reputation, Modile, a reputation as a fair, honest man who treats his soldiers well and supports them in the face of darkness. Potentially, that reputation makes me soft. It seems I understand failure and forgive it. Some, like Kowle, believe me to be a weak commissar, not prepared to take the action my rank demands. Not prepared to enforce field discipline where I see it failing. I am an Imperial commissar. I will enflame the weak, support the wavering, guide the lost. I will be all things to all men who need me. But I will also punish without hesitation the weak, the incompetent, and the treasonous.
I am a Commissar. I am empowered to deliver justice wherever I see it lacking. I am empowered to punish cowardice. I am granted the gift of total authority to judge, in the name of the Emperor, on the field of combat.
