I've decided to create a Imperial Guard army, but i have no idea what i should do with it. Please tell me what I should have. I want to use infantry spam, by the way, and I wanna make a Special Forces type of army. Feel free to spam and vent about what i should do .

I play Angry Marines, my experimental Metal Marines, Ultramarines, Orks, Blood Angels, Necrons, Eldar, Tau, and Spec Ops IG
Im planning to also play Mordian Iron Guard, Daemons, and Chaos and Mercenary IG

Search the lists for 'gunline' or 'footslogger' lists to get some ideas. Special Forces seems like maybe a vet army, but you won't get as many models on as with platoons...

Infantry spam + special forces?

You could try fielding a "catachan army" with Straken. Very deadly at range, and you can take cheap assault units like Penal Legion and Rough Riders and do a lot of damage.

Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

OP:

1. See above posters suggestions about searching out other IG lists. There are plenty. Dozens, hundreds, and hundreds. No need to replicate the efforts of countless others here.

2. Visit the tactics forum. This thread put there would do you well - this forum is more for critiquing of lists and styles than scratch-building advice.

3. Read the IG tactica. There are some great articles in the tactica about the various unit combinations; things are given ratings for effectiveness and such.

Kk, well catachan's are pretty good, but they dont look very spetznaz-ish or S.A.S.-ish. Cadians sorta have the look, but i suppose the catachans are more MANLY than the cadians.
