By my calculations this list is running at 1755 pts right now (don't have my codex atm so working from memory). What would yall suggest I put into the last 245 points and what do you think of the army. I was thinking of adding wrecking balls to the trucks to add some umph against vehicles and maybe a group of kommandos with snikrot to take care of units who like to linger at the back like enemy lootas and snipers.

Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

Greetings and welcome to Dakka.

1. There's an important thread on Ork tactics that you should read here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/269441.page#1180405. I wrote much that I won't need to replicate in this thread.

2. Try organizing your list into something more presentable to read. Perhaps by FoC spot, annotated for what is attached where?

Here's a copy/paste of a list from a battle report:

HQ: Librarian in Terminator armor with storm shield, with Fear the Darkness + Unleash Rage
Troop1: 10x Assault Marines with 2 melta guns, sergeant with power fist and storm shield.
Troop2: 10x Assault Marines with 2 melta guns, sergeant with power fist and storm shield.
Elite1: 6x Assault terminators; 2 with lightning claws, 4 with thunderhammers, inside elite land raider crusader with multi-melta and extra armor
Elite2: Sanguinary Priest in Terminator Armor
Elite3: Sanguinary Priest with Jump Pack
Fast1: Baal Predator with twin-linked Assault Cannons
Fast2: Baal Predator with twin-linked assault Cannons

Heavy1: Vindicator with siege shield
Heavy2: 5 Devestators with 4x Missile Launchers
Heavy3: Predator with Autocannon and Lascannon sponsons

3 Don't use abbreviations for things that don't have abbreviated shortcuts. Your Warboss is NOT equipped with an Arcane Shield Spell (AS).

4. Lay out your units individually. For example, do your 20 shoota boys have a nob? Does the nob have a powerklaw? Wargear? I presume your trukks have red paint, but nothing else?

Working on what I can understand of your list, here's my advice:

5. No Ork unit of troops except gretchin should ever be without a nob who has a powerklaw. In fact, you could say that a boyz unit is simply a delivery mechanism for a powerklaw nob.

6. Only taking 3 nob bikers? One of which is a painboy? The painboy is wasted here. With only 4 models in the unit, your opponents aren't going to bother delivering small arms fire at them with so many other juicy targets. They're going to get lascannoned. And after taking a single casualty, they'll test for leadership. Not to mention that the warboss doesn't benefit from FNP.

7. What's the point of having 20 Shootas in a battlewagon? Are you going to drive the battlewagon around 6" per turn and shoot it? If you are planning on that, any glance or pen is enough to ruin your plans; shaken will negate their shooting ability. If you plan on moving 12" per turn, they aren't shooting either because you moved too fast. They should be sluggas and choppas, or not boyz. Battlewagons are a platform for a destructive ork unit, or a durable platform to deliver an assault element into combat in relative safety. You're doing neither, so are wasting your battlewagons.

8. Trukks without reinforced rams are sad devices. Battlefields are not smooth grassy fields; they are ruined, smoldering wreckage and destroyed buildings, craters and blasted terrain. You need those reinforced rams because you WILL roll 1s.

9. Don't kid yourself, 5th edition is mechanized. Your anti-tank is virtually non-existent. 3 nob bikers and a warboss on a bike who can go threaten vehicles on turn2+ is about it, virtually guaranteeing their destruction. No boarding planks neuters your own vehicles, and deffrollas only work when you get into base-to-base. You *NEED* anti-tank. If this is a 2k list, you have 245 points to fix that. 70 points buys you a deffkopta with a twin-linked rokkit and a buzzsaw. 75 points buys you a 5 man Loota unit with 5-15 shots per turn. 5 points per vehicle gets you boarding planks.

There's a LOT more to say; volumes and books, but until I know what you're aiming for I don't know where to really guide you to.
