Whats up everyone. Here is an ork list that I have crafted, looking forward to trying it out! Seems like it has a little bit of everything and a lot of 'urt.
HQ
225 - Ghazghkull Thraka
90 - Big Mek with a Kustom Force Field and 'eavy armor.
ELITES
210 - 14 Lootas
TROOPS
315 - 6 Nobz in a Trukk. They all have cybork bodies and are armed as follows;
painboy with a grot orderly,
power klaw boss pole and Waagh! banner,
power klaw and kombi-scorcha,
big choppa and combi scorcha
big choppa
combi scorcha
225 - 30 Boyz with sluggas and choppas, including a nob with a power klaw, 'eavy armor, and a boss pole
250 - 20 'Ard Boyz with shootas and two big shootas, including a nob with a power klaw and a boss pole
150 - 10 Boyz in a Trukk with sluggas, choppas, and stikkbombs, including a nob with a power klaw, 'eavy armor, and a boss pole
110 - Deff Dread with an extra close combat weapon, a scorcha, armor plates, and grot riggers
HEAVY SUPPORT
125 - A Battlewagon with two big shootas, armor plates, grot riggers, a red paint job, and a reinforced ram
165 - 3 Killa Kanz with kustom mega blasters
135 - 3 Killa Kanz with grotzookas
____
2000
Stikkbombers really just have stikkbombs for fun and cause the models are cool, Ghazghkull would ride in their trukk. The dread mob foot slogs with the boyz, and the transports stick close. Sometimes I put the nobz in reserves so they can swoop in and be a game changer. Lootas are too good to pass on, so is Ghazghkull. 'Ard boyz have the job of winning me the game, fighting conservatively so they're alive long enough to claim objectives. Let me know what you think!

I think you might be missing a few things?
You've got 840 points there. Is there more?

Well....
You're combining a lot of things, some of which shouldn't be combined.

Read that, it will help.
I think that the first thing you should do is split your 14 Lootas (+1) down into three groups of 5. You'll still get the name number of shots, but now you can potentially shake/kill/other three targets per turn instead of one.

I read this post with much interest as I am a new player and my chosen army is Orks (I'm in it for the Waaagh!). I found dashofpepper very knowledgable if a little hard to take. All in all thanks for the useful information.

Thanks for the info dash.
The fact that I am combining these different things is in fact the theme of my army. I don't really think that makes me a F.A.G. lol. I'm just taking what I find to be the best units, haven't played this list yet but I've used all of its components many times, and I'm curious how they would play together. I admit possible ignorance; I see your GT record, and while I've been playing the game for a while, I've never accomplished anything like that.
I think the list would work a lot like the kan wall list that you talk about. The bulk of the army would be the advance of the 30 boyz with the walkers. The vehicles would move with the mob, but they are able to go to different places faster. The transports for them are not solely taken so these units can get in combat as quick as possible, just so they can be where I need them to be. Also, the battlewagon will draw a lot of fire away from the walkers, and that is part of the reason I am taking it.
I also admit the fact that I love the new deff dread and killa kanz models, and I want to combine them into the kind of ork army I usually play. A lot of these units are unique to my army, and I like that. My shoota 'ard boyz wear gas masks that I got from some 3rd party. I'm really looking forward to modeling some stikkbombers using bits from the stormboyz kit. I want to build a unique competitive army.
Interesting point about the 3 squads of 5 lootas. I have always taken lootas as one large squad to keep them from falling back when shot at. Also, they're 1 kill point instead of 3. The ability to split fire is nice, but I'm happy with the ability to almost guarantee death to many vehicles and units. I'll try splitting them up though, especially since this list has no other elites.
I'm curious, what is your favorite list / lists to run?
