Not actually posting an army list, just asking a question about list-building.

I'm building a unit of Nobz and was considering the wound-allocation naughtiness created by arming them differently.

How "different" do they have to be?

Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

I'll see if we can't get this moved to tactics, where people will actually respond to you.

The nobs have to have different wargear.

A nob with a big choppa and a nob with a big choppa and a kombi-rokkit is just fine. Two different wound groups.

My current configuration:

1. Painboy
2. Waaaugh! Banner
3. Bosspole / Ammo Runt
4. Powerklaw
5. Powerklaw / Kombi-Rokkit
6. Powerklaw/ Kombi-Rokkit / Ammo Runt
7. Big Choppa
8. Big Choppa / Kombi-Rokkit
9. Big Choppa / Kombi-Rokkit / Ammo Runt

Four BS2 Rokkits should fetch me one hit. Three ammo runts to reroll the three misses should fetch me another one, and now I've got two rokkits to try opening up the transport I'm assaulting. Or two rokkits to wound the MC I'm assaulting. I stopped using Skorchas; too much opportunity to kill your way out of assault range.

Moving thread to Tactics.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

This is a load-out I have used with great sucess a couple of times about 425 points, a bit morethan I like but 28 (I think) Str 7 attacks on the charge, meh. He's correct that Rokkits are better for the experianced player, I used to run a couple of skorchas and one or two rokkits, end of the day rokkits are just so so important, they are there for that one time you need to pop that tank - they will win you games, kombi skorchs only make you win more.

My 10 Nob mob uses 5 Kombi-skorchas, more theme-like based on Burning Death from Codex Armageddon. Good for a drive-by torching.

I also run 2 3-Mega Nobz mobs or 1 6-Mega Nobz mob and in that case the Skorchas always do better than the Rokkits. I'll make a mental note in future games. Maybe the 10 Nob mob needs to evolve to rokkits. Easy to convert, just glue a Rokkit on the gun Thanks for posting this.

Fighting crime in a future time!
