I was just wondering how many people are in your local preliminary matches, what armies you are bringing and expect to face.

Mine has 10 people.
I am taking Space marines with allied Grey Knights.

I expect 2 space wolfs, 1T'au, a BT army, an Eldar flying circus, 2 Ork lists, 1 necron, and a IG list(not leafblower )

I am going to a smaller store, where I had fun last year. The bulk of the players run MEQ hybrid armies, with the occasional ork player. I plan on running my nidzilla/stealer shock hybrid.

I expect that we'll have between 10-14 folks at ours. There will probably be a variety of armies there and the competition is pretty tough.

I play Wolves myself, but off the top of my head I know there will be 2 Guard, 2 Ork, and 1 Tyranid army there.

I belive our prelims will have at least 10 people. We had the most in all of Arkansas playing a Chaos Nurgle themed army.

Running hybrid Eldar at mine,
Know there will be a Vulcan List, Nid list, and a Space Wolf list for sure.

We will be lucky to get 8 players at ours.

I'll be dusting off my Vulkan Marines, lead by Captain "Counts-As Vulkan" Hmmffrefferm (Can't think of a good name at the moment, say it like Ash does for that last word for disabling the curse for the Necronomicon in Army of Darkness).

Not too sure how many players to expect, but 10-15 seems like a good number.

bringing 2500 points of chaos. why dosent Abaddon get any love?

Should be a large crowd at the store I'm going to. Despite there being 4 stores in the area doing the tourny.

Bringing the Legion of Brass (Dread/Defiler/Berzerker bash) again, which served me well through both rounds I played last year.

I played at two 'Ard Boyz locations last year; one on Saturday and one on Sunday. Saturday had 30ish people, and I took first. Sunday had 16 people and I took first.

This year there's only one day that people are running 'Ard Boyz. I'm going to a new store I've never been to before - I called and inquired about attendance - the owner said that last year they had 26 people, and will probably have more this year.

Can't speak for anyone else, but winning in bigger arenas makes me feel better than in small arenas.

I'm going to my prelim but I don't expect to win. my 2,500 point list is nowhere near good because I'm squeezing for points taking Vespids.

Either way I'm just hoping to get in some good games and learn something.

As for whose there we have:
A bad guard player
A slightly sub-par crimson fist player
A really good Bike / Landspeeder Marine player (I expect him to win)
Probably a daemons player
Ork player

Don't know about the rest

Currently 18 or so signed up, course, I'm running it so don't get to play.

I'm Guessing 20+, because apparently we've had people from out of town try to call in and reserve spots, which we don't do. It will be interesting because we only have enough tables for 24 people to play.
