On the fence about it. It's been a while since I've seen a shooter that looks a hoot to play, but it comes across as something aimed at juveniles with the inventive swearing and whatnot.
The actual playstyle is inventive as hell too. The "Leash" is, in itself, a fun mechanism to play with. Then there's just the actual gameplay...
I mean, how many games do you know of that encourage you to fire a rocketpropelledsparkler at a guy's rear so that he'll get lifted airborne and explode, setting everyone else on fire?
And even then, how many games would call that "Enlightenment"?
Looks interesting. A pity it's not coming out on Steam though.
The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

My only problem with the game (I am chalking it up to inexperianced) is that when I try to leash someone to me to set up a combo, he always runs into the wall between us, giving me a Voodoo and decreasing my score
I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.

Classy. No worries though, Cliffy B. only wants teenagers as his GF's.
This trailer [EDIT: The Halo 3 one] was kinda around for a long time, and this is hardly any news. Or maybe it's just me, because Poland isn't responsible for many good / famous games (hint: I'm Polish). Christmas trailer was nice if you ask me..

The blonde girl developer you mention is responsible for decreasing size of the breast of "the girl" in this game. Not that I am some perverted big virtual breast fanatic, but that just puzzles me.. I thought that this kind of game is exactly where it matters how huge the heroine is...

Not exactly. It seems to me as taking itself seriously unserious. Hence all the feths being dropped in cutscenes, the debauch space pirate main character, and so on. It's a serious game, but the gameplay is less serious. I am kind of glad they decreased her breast size, wimminz need variety.
Also, isn't DICE Polish?

Bulletstorm's available on Steam now, so it's on my wishlist. it's potentially my next purchase after homefront and dragon age 2, because it looks like a combination of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater's scoring system and an FPS game, which is a hilariously good concept.

Oh, for those of us with an Xbox who really only want it for the GoW3 Beta:
They have changed it from Beta Access ONLY to Early Access from the Beta/Exclusive Content. People who don't want to get it for the beta don't have to.

*cracks knuckles* 'Ere we go with my review of Bulletstorm.
Blood, death, mayhem, and booze!
...That pretty much sums it up. Skillshots were definitely nice, and the actual background of the planet "Stygia" definitely give a very Imperium of Man vibe.
In fact, I couldn't shake the idea of the Schola Progenium's training facilities the entire time I was playing the campaign.
The multiplayer is quite frankly nice. It's nice to finally be rid of the idea that "games MUST HAVE COMPETITIVE MULTIPLAYER AND COOPERATIVE MUST TAKE SECOND PLACE!".
The 'Anarchy' gamemode(only one available currently) is essentially a mixture of the 'Hordes' game variant from Gears of War 2, with an element of Halo: Reach's competitive scoring system. Add in weapon drops at the start of each wave, each map having a unique set of environmental kills(I particularly like 'Dead Rock', which has a giant dust devil within the center. Knocking enemies into it results in..."Not in Kansas" Then there's of course the dinosaur skull, which upon knocking an enemy into it closes shut and you're rewarded with a 'Nom Nom Nom').
Overall on the Kanluwen scale...
This game was pretty damned fun. It evoked the feeling I got my first time playing Halo: Combat Evolved with the sense of a 'new style of gameplay'.
